  1. Welcome to the site! As others mentioned, a lot of vintage German handmade marbles from your inherited collection. From the pics I'd say at least a dozen would be considered on the higher end of things, the 6 individual ones the most. Nice marbles. When it comes to value, condition is Very important to collectors. Although sentimental value is another thing that is hard to associate a cost with. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Some people go nuts for Lutz (6th down). #8 and 11 look pretty clean and same cane. Nice Germans
  3. I was on the fence with "mist" but for some reason thought they had Mica along with the translucent colors. Not a type I think of often, thanks for jogging my memory
  4. When I think of single pontil slags, I think of the early Germans. But you're right, from your pics with that style of pattern and pontil, Navarre is likely
  5. From https://marbleconnection.com/topic/27321-peewee-pics-anyone-and-a-little-info-would-be-great/page/2/ Pretty sure I've got a blue, a purple, and a red one around somewhere too.
  6. For me, it looks like some type of Joseph Coat pattern (although some might say a minimum # of colors required). The whole "End of Day" terminology is another thing...I think the term was published in a couple marble books and imaginations ran wild.
  7. Might be able to determine the base vs. ribbon color by what's in the bottom of the blow-out (3rd pic down). Failing on that? Hammer time!🔨
  8. Looks like it from here. Nice color
  9. Looks CAC (Christensen Agate Co) to me, could be an Alley. Hard to tell from the pics
  10. Left one isn't a flaming dragon (wrong company, colors, pattern). Likely Alley, chance of Christensen with better pics. Right one is a Peltier, I believe most people refer to this type as a Multi Color Swirl (MCS)
  11. Success! Not a common marble at all. Some people would refer to it as a ribbon core onionskin.
  12. ...And take a picture. It'll help to temporarily reveal the interior detail
  13. toothpick for me (unused of course)
  14. Interesting set up, I like seeing stuff like this.
  15. I'd lean towards Pelt based on those pics. And the size
  16. getting a bit of a pelt vibe from that single pic. More angles and pics could quickly convince me otherwise
  17. Based on the pics I'd put that with my possible Pelts. In hand might be a completely different story ie: CAC or Euro
  18. The article is a good read. Both processes described (hot punch, hollow cane) is more than you'd expect from the average "maker/hut" aiming for quantity. Thanks for the link, very interesting
  19. Interesting to see those types. Most of the ones I've seen pics of were more "traditional" German handmades.
  20. Not sure if those are threads or the "seat" of a check valve. That's why I was curious about the rest of the fitting.
  21. I saw it listed originally, figured my Wife wouldn't be too thrilled with our "new" hotplate.
  22. What did the rest of the pipe fitting looks like, was it some sort of check valve?
