Condition, pattern, and size are typically what collectors look for. The older German handmades with faceted pontils are usually better quality glass and craftsmanship (symmetry, layers, patterns, etc.) First pic front row, 4th from left (blue/white solid core with red outer bands) is the one I like most, followed by 6th from the left in same row. Good luck with your collection

Speaking for myself: this is refreshing. German Handmades really got me in the hobby (I won a couple on the school grounds as a kid). I enjoy seeing a nice collection like this, chips, dings and all. Thanks for posting them and have fun looking at them

I had one just like this (maybe still do, can't remember if I kept it). The board was plastic, deep red color if I recall.

What's the estimated age for these bags? I was able to acquire some a while ago and they looked almost brand new. 1st thought NOS or Fantasy Bag... but the white/blue/green example in one bag looked way too nice to put in a fantasy bag. Got a pic around here somewhere

My first thought was also Pelt but an extremely small for one from that era? And OX on a CAC or Pelt is pretty unusual as well.

Could be, seams look a little "tight" so it might even be a CAC?

Not much hope for cleaning that up, unfortunately. If you look at it too much it might even break.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see more pics, if there was aventurine or oxblood etc. 1st guess is Akro on both

None look like CAC to me but the bottom right in first pic is interesting-the rest aren't too shabby either. Nice patterns.

Never met the man personally (and trying to recall if I'd ever seen a pic without that awesome beard), but I still have quite a few of his marbles and yes he knew a thing or two about Peltier.

Did it come with all those other Vitros in the background?
