Thank you Bud, and Dave and Randy. I'm trying to think of something to add when Bud's auction is over.

Still haven't set up my speakers or found my camera. So no pics of my new DAS's. And I somehow I lost track of my Groundhog Day cards! But I printed up some Groundhog Day stationery with graphics I got online, so I sent out letters instead of cards. And just to 8 people, but I sent one to my stepmother, and that's the most important. *whew*

My first though was one which sounded ridiculous in my ears, since it's an Alley guy asking about the marble. But my first thought was Alley. Dug Akro sounds like an interesting possibility.

Alan and she were close friends, and he gave people permission to post text from his site. Would be less confusing if she cited it formally. But she was probably just trying to share the historical information as background. I'm sure she didn't mean anything nefarious by it.

I _think_ I may have seen marbles that size, with crackle, which were not attributed to Tom and would go in the rough category of generic "repro". But again ... no pix for comparison at this time, so it's just fuzzy memory.
