Best I can tell from looking at old ads, in the mid-50's they went straight from bagging up Alleys (and the occasional Japanese marble) to the distinct classic patch and ribbon. .

What range of base color or ribbon color do you accept as an Alley Pistachio? Are you picky? Or do you think of a relatively wide range as Pistachio?
