    Humor Ar Ar

For Hoody -- in invisible ink below one fifth, two fifth, red fifth, blue fifth which is a play on the title of a famous Dr. Seuss book.
  2. Fried green tomatoes will be on the menu later today.
  3. Other than that one I'm not recognizing any which could be of signficant value. Something might call out to someone else though. The marbles are mostly Vitro. But I see at least a little Peltier, Marble King, Master, some kind of swirl, and maybe an Akro corkscrew. (The blue one near the bottom of the top photo -- I'm wondering if that is a corkscrew.)
  4. I think that it is a 1930's Vitro, and the size could add value to it. Condition is very important though for value. A chip could lower the value of a marble by half or more from mint condition.
  5. Hi. Welcome. (I love buttons -- started to collect seriously -- but then switched to marbles.) Most of those would be "commons" as you probably suspected. The most interesting one I recognize is the large one which is near the middle of the bottom picture, and is peeking down from the top of the top picture.
  6. Nice colors. I can see why you're hopeful. Worth the gamble. Heck, even if they're just oversized game marbles ... they would be quite pretty for what they turn out to be.
  7. Very cool. It's weird how so many of us have thousands of marbles around and we don't shoot them. Any of them. Even the cat's eyes or game marbles. I love that you do.
  8. Trying to figure this out out without googling. Nothing is coming to me. Ooooh. Now I have a guess. I have typed it below, in invisible ink. Because he is dead?
  9. Interesting. So you will play marbles on it? At first I thought you might be talking about an art project.
  10. That's a nice little bump, John. I was enjoying the bright colors. Then I looked up and saw Paul's and I almost fell out of my chair. How did that happen?! I understand Ric's. I understand John's. I don't understand Paul's.
  11. Oh .... hmmm ... maybe I'll check that out. I just finished watching Life in Pieces.
  12. Pretend you are standing in the center of a room. You find yourself surrounded by strangers. They don't speak your language. You realize that you are totally naked. Everyone wants to touch you. Welcome to the life of a dog.
  13. This one LOOKS oxbloody on the edges. And it's reminding me of being a newbie, being sure my Akro had at least some ox ... but since of the the red clearly wasn't ox, it was hard to make the case for PART of the red being ox. But I still wanted to. And this pelt still, to my much more trained eyes, looks ox-y on the edges when I examine it in hand, but I won't swear to it.
  14. At least he didn't say soup *spoken in Grouch Marx mode*
  15. It was like a sushi roll but on a bun.
  16. Thai sub sandwich from the market around the corner. Because Bob recommended it. He was right. This is gooooood.
  17. lol ... yeah, sumpin like that
  18. Oooh, that's unusual even for unusual ones. Thanks for the bump. ... all of you who bump with your goodies. I haven't been talking as much but I appreciate them all.
  19. Thanks, Ed. Always been fascinated with those also.
