Okay, now that is strange.
Akro Moonies are supposedly known for their glow.
Did they sometimes not have it? Was there an era in which they didn't? A narrow window of time when they didn't?
.... on the subject of "polluted boxes" ... how many boxes can you think of which may have had their proper contents removed to replace them with marbles which people thought belonged ... until folks learned there actually was a reason for the marbles which they found in the boxes.
Thinking of Rosenthal boxes and "Marble King" boxes. And Akro Special boxes.

I'm not sure about the terminology. But I did want to say hi.
My first guess would be they were made in Germany. But I'm intrigued by the "French" reference. Hopefully someone here will have some insight.
I think they're calling this episode and the next one a TV movie. It's strange, but look at the supposed date for the movie at IMDB ... it says it aired last night.
I thought I read that there was going to be a new series. Googling a little now I read that it's not certain.
Last night on NCIS was the first half of what LOOKS like a spin-off pilot. To be continued next week If you didn't see it last night you can catch it online at cbs.com.
I need a solitaire set ..... someday. I had a beautiful resin (sp?) board once but sold it. Silly, silly me.
I don't have much insight into what colors kids liked back when, but I guess they liked amber. It was made and sold!
