Hi. I was mistaken. They are in the yellow mesh bag, not red. I was kinda in the dark when I first looked at them. But they still have the red/black label. Made in U.S.A. #20 #8 So what do you think guys???? Thanks for any info on these, as always!!!!

Very nice Clyde. I remember reading about type's at Alan's website as well. ....from Marblealan.com Recently, there has been an effort to further define National Line Rainbos based on their style of ribboning. Type One National Line Rainbos will have four to six ribbons that are heavily swirled as they run from seam to seam. Type Two National Line Rainbos will have four to six ribbons that run very straight from one seam to the other. Type Three National Line Rainbos have four ribbons, two each of which emanate from seams set on opposite sides of the marble but perpendicular to one another ("t"-shaped). Type Four National Line Rainbos also have four ribbons which form a "broken corkscrew" pattern as they swirl from one end of the marble to the other. Finally, Type Five National Line Rainbos have four ribbons, two of which form patches on either pole of the marble and two of which form equatorial bands. These latter marbles are often mistaken for Marble King ("patch and ribbon") Rainbows.

Marble Beads From The African And Asian Trade
William Marbles replied to lopacki's topic in Archives
Thanks Sissy Dear!!! I was nervous to even take pictures of them, no cracks or fractures except for the small 23/32" one. One thing i noticed about these, they have a small hole on one end and a large hole on the other with a ground or faceted pontil. I guess that's where the glass pushed thru. -

Hi. Did Peltier make the Red mesh bag with red/black lettering label of "Marine Cyrstals"? If not who, then? Anyone have a picture of the red mesh bag? with the smaller and larger ones? Thanks

William Marbles replied to Steph's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Hey Steph! Is that a Sure Shot box they are in? That marble on the right, 2nd row from the bottom, at about 6:30 position. (white with Dark red/tan) Is neat. -

Hi. Let me ask this. What do you use to drill the hole? I went out the the shed last night with my most favorite Vacor and Jabo. Had the black n decker running full speed for 3 minutes and barely made a hole in either one, lot's of smoke tho. LOL Thanks -
I Found These On The Internet.

Got this one back in June. They almost gave it to me because of the damage. But, I gave them the $2.00 and kept on walking. -

The size was what kept them from 'whatever faith' was in store for them. 1" range, I would have just passed them one to someone else. As far as value goes. I think everything I sent out to Rich to work on, was in "Collectible" condition, with maybe the last one, Lutz Onionskin, being in "Good" condition. In hand it was pretty well beating up and quite a bit of missing glass. I think they now have gained some value and 'eye appeal' as well. "Big German Handmades All Original - Remelt Mint!" LOL -

Here was the size break down on these... -2 1/4" mine -1 7/8" mine -2 1/8" -1 5/8" -1 5/8" - 11/16" mine My friend and I was laughing at the first one, because it looks like a square from the top. I've had mine for over a year, was going to polish them when I got my machine running. But figured I would have to take off way too much glass. So off to Rich's Magic Shop for some TLC. I'm glad I choose this route. The way I figure, these marbles had a loving-exciting life and now were forgotten. Now, maybe they will have another 150 years of life... -
Hi Everyone, Thought I would share some before/after pictures Rich just sent to me on some work we sent out to him. Most of these were beyond hope, but look at what a Master can do with fire and skill. WOW!!! Great job Rich!!! Can't wait to see them in my hand. Thanks!!

I'm with Steph on this one.... Not Peltier. I've been told that NLR's need to have at least one color separate to be consider a (insert name) NLR. This, x-mas tree has no such markings. Modern MK, get's my vote. Besides, this marble was on eBay. Only 2 bidder's took the Peltier name bait. This is all a MINT Pelt is worth? I think the world of watchers/bidder spoke volumes on it.... Modern IMO.

Your first link look like marbles found in this 'fantasy bag' http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-MARBLES-WATERMELON-DELIGHTS-US-MADE-1940s-50s-FROM-5-CENT-PACKAGE-NICE-/221227959408?pt=Marbles&hash=item338236c470&nma=true&si=Zxi7PnbDAKGISsFTcQiWeiaTFTk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Now look at the pattern of these... not so much the color http://www.ebay.com/itm/MARBLE-KING-2-COLOR-RAINBOWS-AKA-WATERMELON-MARBLES-/111096353924?pt=Marbles&hash=item19dddbd484

If you feel like the marble needs something.... then it's not a Mint marble. a mint marble needs only eye's to look at it. Welcome to the world of High End Marble Collecting ....think of them as little round dishes...

I've talked to a few people that went. Most said is was lacking the attendance that the Feb. show had. Price's were a bit higher, and available items were less abundant. Hmmm.. I just wonder if this 'would have been' the Columbus show if it wouldn't have been better... ??? ... Maybe something to consider for next year.

Hey Gnome, I was checking out that Golden Rebel Pee Wee.... I think that's been polished. Might want to look at it a bit closer. ..half circles, feathered seams, white spot's in holes.
