  1. Put me down for Alley if it's normal 5/8-ish size. I think I got some like this from the pennsboro dig.
  2. Yes, absolutely sure... I just went and checked again to see what is causing the red wash and it's because a group of the red filaments got up next to the white and melted into the white. The glass around them is clear though.
  3. I have one I recently posted here that I consider to be a fancy or special popeye. I haven't seen any like it until seeing yours. Yours look more like patches or really lazy corks, but mine is a sure-nuff cork. On mine, the red filaments are red and the glass around them is clear.
  4. I agree, I think the green patch is gonna be the only peltier in the bunch.
  5. Yep, Jabo made a bunch of them called "classics" presumably because they used colors that resembled many of the classic marbles. I don't see any limeade or oxblood in the bunch though, so you didn't miss out.
  6. Well, bud, you might feel better to find out you saved yourself about $75 and shipping because it looks like those were pretty much all Jabos. Personally, I recommend learning all you can about marbles before spending much. A lot of times, new collectors go head over heels buying marbles because the fun of it is hard to contain. Trouble is, there are a lot of marbles out there with similar colors, similar patterns, but new, or common, or both. It's easy to spend $1000 on $100 worth of marbles, especially when dealing with ebay. Don't rely on ebay auctions to be accurate about what kind of marbles they are... a huge percentage, maybe over half, are identified incorrectly. Edit: I took too long typing and Steph beat me to it, I agree with what she said!
  7. I guess akro too, for lack of anything else I can think of it to be.
  8. Oh yeah, I'll vouch for those too.
  9. I use "0000" super fine steel wool. It does not scratch glass and cleans rust and other stuff off in seconds.
  10. Maybe my ignorance about marbles is showing, but these aren't CACs? Or do I detect tongue-in-cheek?
  11. I agree, like bloodies, clowns, and some others are rainbos. Sounds like this one may belong to a named family as well from what I'm hearing.
  12. Sure, Chuck. I assume you're at the same address I sent those marbles to for the scouts? I'll send you this one and the other we talked about if you want so you can make a better determination.
  13. They are actually red strands in clear glass. I tend to think of it as a hybrid or rarer style of popeye since I've never seen one, but I wonder if it was sold in the popeye packaging. I suspect so.
  14. Yeah, it's pretty close to those but maybe a tad more opaque overall. I have no idea on the one with the red strands... I just always considered it a popeye but never have put it up for discussion until now.
  15. I feel like this one probably is a popeye, but the red is wispy, not the white. And here is another like the red/yellow one I posted earlier. Some clear striations in the white, but not enough to satisfy the popeye criteria.
  16. I don't really know. The white has some striation with translucence, but it probably wasn't intended to be a popeye. I have another I will take a pic of that I think is a popeye but some will say not.
  17. There is a never ending supply of color combos it seems. Has anyone seen one like this before? The blue is not like any I remember seeing in pelt's pallette and then some yellow tracing the white too! I like it. I thought I had more than one pic on file... I guess they didn't transfer.
  18. It's a little guy at 9/16. Chocolate with white and custard colors.
  19. If they absolutely must be vintage, I would guess vitro on the left and akro messed up cork, or weird ppp on right. More pics might change my mind.
