  1. ManofKent

    Id help.

    Looks German to me
  2. It depends on the maker, but with some makers it's so common that it has little impact. A lot of Champions glow to some extent be it the ribbons or base glass, ditto Jabo.

    I'd please

The two on the right might be the newer (early 70's onwards) 'Bumblebees' - Marble King produced most of the old two colour marbles as black with a slash of colour.
  4. Welcome. As Steph say's a nice mix. Some nice Vitro's in there. If you want to post them individually in the id thread you should be able to resize photos in most image editing programs.
  5. I'd lean towards Heaton for the middle and Champion for the bottom based on Al's enhancements and what I've got in my collection to compare against...
  6. Agreed. I'd lean Marble King for the other two. The blue is deeper than that Heaton/Bogard used
  7. 1 might be an Akro slag, 2 might be Alley and I think 7 might be Jabo.
  8. Interesting - size wise would point more to Alley for me. I've yet to come across a Champion under 17/32" that's not been a solid or clear. It's possibly just what reaches me (I'm stuck with ebay/etsy rather than shows on this side of the pond).

    Id help

I'd go AKRO but I'm not great with patches so hopefully someone else will wade in.
  10. They look like Classics rather than the investor runs - 1993-2007 ish. Identifying the different classic runs isn't easy. Some are pictured on the WVMC site.
  11. That's amazing I can't believe someone has managed to train cats - the closest I've got is being trained by cats...
  12. The colours are a perfect match for some of the tricolor patches. Have they been found with yellow rather than the orangey red as well?
  13. I recently paid that for 30 Eagle Run ( plus shipping) and that was a pretty good price these days...
  14. Welcome - you should have a 'resize' option on your photo editor - if you use that you won't need to crop so severely to get the files small enough to upload. I don't think they're European or Akro, from the close ups though.
  15. I'd never have guessed Marble King on that one...
  16. Without giving too much of the complex lot away, the cover gives a clue as to the perils of playing with marbles on the way to school...
  17. I did a tour of the local antique and bric-a-brac shops today looking (unsuccessfully) for marbles. I did however find this cautionary tale:
