My first thought was Vacor on the yellow one. At that size they may be both from the same maker. I'm usually wrong though, so there is still hope. In one of the earlier photos they appear a little orange peel-y Thanks Bruce

So is the O.P. mib Jabo or Alley? Thanks Bruce
-
Looks like an Alley to me, especially the colors. The lamp part is older than Jabo, but it may not be the original marble. Thanks Bruce

I think I've seen 'em all, including the non marble stuff. Stephen is just as enthusiastic about gardening, butterflies, and birds, so those are great videos too! Always looking forward to the next one, no matter what the subject. Thanks Bruce

The Blue Raven was ID'd here long ago. I just posted it's pic again because I saw a structural similarity to the orange mib in the first pic. I only posted it for a comparison. I had the orange mib ID'd as Alley and was wondering If it was maybe a Ravenswood instead. Since Ron seems to think it's a tossup with a slight lean towards Alley, I will keep it with my Alley's. Sorry about the mix up. Thanks Bruce

Peewee Pics Anyone? And a Little Info Would be Great!
Berryb replied to Marbleized's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Stephen Bahr has a video showing the Pelt pee-wee machine. Thanks Bruce -
Ok I have this one. I have it labeled Alley, but I just noticed a pretty similar pattern to a "blue raven" that I have. Am I just seein' things? Thanks Bruce

Snowin' here. but always a nice day for mibs. Thanks Bruce

I hate the term "collectable". A collection is what you make of it (and what you make it of). If you only want mint mibs you will have a small and expensive collection. If the price is right get it and keep it 'til you find another. I think Ox glass is kind of brittle so it damaged easily, so finding a better one may take some time, but it will happen. I predict that when you have a few better bricks you'll still be showin it off as "my first brick". Thanks Bruce PS, I only have 5 after 30 years. Just 2 are in the junk jar. one is melted almost beyond recognition, the other has an actual corner.

Not sure who made it, but if the price is right get it, and keep it 'til one you like better comes along. Thanks Bruce

Yup, That's a brick. A little beat but better than most of mine. Thanks Bruce

There is a fine (often blurry) line between slags and transparent swirls. The difference often fools novices and experts alike. They seem to have the same definition. I could paraphrase the official on a congressional committee when he said he couldn't define porn, but knew it when he saw it. I think slags are transparent swirls, but transparent swirls are not necessarily slags. If anyone has a clear distinction between the two besides experience I would like to know it. Thanks Bruce

Looks like a pretty nice pile from here. A couple of times I thought I had a bunch like that and they turned out to be mostly slingshot ammo. Not so with yours. Thanks Bruce
-
That's what I thought too, but the last time I posted it -a long time ago, I was told it was MK. I guess I'll put it back with Akro. Thanks Bruce

I 'spose everyone has some like this. Mibs you can't bear to part with, for some reason or t'other, but too beat to show off. Well you can show 'em off here. Thanks Bruce

When I want to put something into my display I usually need to pull something out. The "outies" don't go directly into a jar but into what I call my "Halfway House" while I decide where they go. Over time some have taken up permanent residence In my HH. too cool to go into a junk jar, too beat up to go into my display. Thought I would show some. Thanks Bruce

I have 2 lions. One belonged to my Grampa, the other I got in Eugene at a mall for less than 20 bucks. One is not marked (my grampa's) the other has felt glued to the bottom that I have not removed. I have never seen any other animals. I don't know how common they are, yours is only the 3rd one I have ever seen. They light up like crazy under a black light. Thanks Bruce
