  1. "Welcome to Marble Connection Leanne" So glad to have you, many years of experience on marbles and marble related material here w/ members more than willing to give ya a hand. Looks like some cat eye a wire pull and some other assorted goodies, all I can state for sure w/o better views. Try limiting your posts to a few marbles at a time w/ multiple views of each. A bit slower but much, much more accurate on the I.D. & the condition. Again "Welcome"
  2. STOOKIE: Term used in the late 1800's for a marble made of clay
  3. ..... Well it sounded (sweet) for a minute until I posted the entire definition "Please forgive" now I know what happened to some of my "would be" favs
  4. Wada score Brother !! Are they shooters ??
  5. SUBMARINE: A collectors' term for a rare design element present in some handmade and machine-made glass toy marbles, where a thread of color existing on the marbles surface plunges down into the interior of the sphere.
  6. SUGARING: A Players' term; Defines the roughing up of a glass marble's smooth surface to give it texture, allowing the player to get a better grip, obtain greater control, aim and more spin or English. Also called roughing.
  7. Just by the colors and uv. glow I'd say it's a funky carnelian
  8. Oop !! Found another Halloween mib researching something else, might have known who it was, I had forgotten all about Vacor !!
  9. I know mine came in a lot, sometime from somewhere ?? After a while it all becomes kind of a glassy blur ??
  10. x2, 😭 = more 😭😭😭 There should be a puddle forming anytime now ???
  11. Don't feel like the lone Ranger, I haven't the slightest where I got mine either Just happy to have it !! Anxious to see yours Brad !!
  12. "Happy Akro Friday" I know I've posted this marble before but this time an explanation of exactly where it came from & what it is. I.D. as an Akro French Drain marble, w/ an olive colored base glass and the familiar Akro construction including a nice patch of oxblood. Most of the French drain marbles were on the large size, this is a smaller one at nearly 11/16ths". For being found or "dug" this marble is in immaculate shape.

  16. O.P. is a Pelt Rainbo to me, no special name I've heard of !! Heard of "Alley Halloween" and Bogard "Halloween cats" anything beyond that is new to me
  17. I have actually looked for a "pink" Bennie but the few I ran into were beat up !!
  18. Was it Fess ?? Or maybe this is the wrong type of "Pelt" .... I've looked and don't see a marble bag ?????????? Some facsimiles of our past leaders
  19. x2, agree w/ Ric, both manufacture (box) names, not my pix but some nice sets !! Bill (mibcapper) has a really nice set of Cerise he'll hopefully post ??
  20. These are the only "clay type" ones I really saved, guessing the Black Bennington would be the hardest to acquire then maybe the Jaspar in the back ?? Not all that knowledgeable on them they just came in lots !! I have some glazed painted helix and bullseye Chinas "somewhere"
