Yes!! Called an "Alley Superman" fractures were very common in these due to the differing expansion and contraction rates or (COE, coefficient of expansion) of the glass, much like the Akro Superman, surface annealing fractures were common and usually occurred in the transparent red, or in your case the reddish orange ribbons.

"Happy Akro Friday" A pair of Akro agate Carnelian marbles, they are U.V. reactive I just haven't taken any pix of them under uv. yet. Boy this pic is sure makin me jones for the Summer Sun !!

The smallest little white one in the center is right at .50" for size comparison, most of these are faceted but there are a few machine ground, yeah I'm a sucker for Bulls eyes, wish I had more, I have about twice this many I haven't taken pix of yet, getting HTF actual faceted ones, the machine ground are flooding the market.

A little scared and marred, just the way I like these aggies !! They take a lickin and keep on tickin. Bet everyone with glass marbles seen this guy commin a mile away and ran for cover before they got clobbered.
