  1. The 40 ct. box came from Phil, Brazilian hardwood called Bubinga wood. My hands are to shaky anymore, at the cost of wood I can't afford to make any mistakes. Phil does some Primo work, customized boxes and will make one from any kind of wood you wish. You probably have seen his boxes at shows or for sale on Ebay, he's been making them a long time. Not CNC but I'm ok with that.
  2. "Happy MK Monday" Rise & Shine We've all been granted another day !! Now it's back to the sack time for me
  3. "Welcome to Marble Connection" inkspot "I'd say you have a foreign manufactured mib.
  4. Mmm yeah !! Alleylitiouse !! Great mibs Bo, the double trouble & the purple are killer !!
  5. Oop !! I forgot about the staple thing !! Sorry bout that.
  6. Bags re ok !! You can still look through them. What I hate is when they pack the jar tightly & have it taped shut. I never buy these, I figure they don't want you looking through it for a reason. The one time the vendor was there, they let me un -tape it & what was inside was worse than what was outside, so an attempt to hide some terrible marbles, just my opinion on the taped shut thing. There is usually a rhyme to some of their reason. Some honest vendors I buy from at the coast let me open, examine & whatever because they know I'm serious about maybe buying their item which is the way everyone should conduct themselves. I guess I can see their point though, with thieves & such !! "Hope" ya score big at the little store William. Oh I did find some killer looking caramel slag trinket trays but upon closer exam they all had scratches or small chips "Drat" + some way overpriced Akro ware like you found, same color I think, kind of a turquoise color, pitcher and creamer $ 20.00 for one & $25.oo for the other, quadruple what I'd consider paying for a common color. "The search goes on"
  7. No !! I'm so glad you asked before you threw your marbles into a tumbler to a certain doom, along with being etched by the abrasive, the marbles will hit and bang together, further destroying them. "Never" use a rock polisher or tumbler on marbles, it will almost instantly ruin the surface. Instead of leaving it shiny like a rock it etches the glass giving it a rough "sea glass" like feel and appearance rendering the marble completely worthless. Good old fashioned elbow grease, a little soaking in water using a "non abrasive" soap & a brush will do miracles, maybe a couple times around but usually one good cleaning will do the trick. There are several different methods people use, a non abrasive soap & water is just one way.
  8. "Welcome to Marble Connection Brian" Good to have you !! Many years of combined knowledge & knowledgeable people here more than willing to share what they know or help ya out however they can, go ahead & jump right in !!
  9. Marble King, Bumble Bee Vacor, serpent Akro Snake Peltier Rainbo Vacor, maybe Grasshopper ?? From what I can see another, "Peltier Rainbo" Akro auger ??
  10. Sorry, all I could find is some pix of a full box, lots of pix of other No.0 boxes full of 100 clearies etc. but no empties !! Maybe if you get the box this will give you an idea on filling it ?? The top cover is a bit different, probably a different year, still a No. 0 box of 100 prizenames. I saved these pix from Mibbage's old sales site. I couldn't tell ya which box is older or more valuable ?? I'll keep digging !!
  11. Old school rules !! No bubble gum for me, where's a roll of quarters, I gotta get that prize !!
  12. I see a left handed twist, here's a few normal right hand twist from the end view just like Chris's marble Right hand twist, righty tighty lefty loosey, my Fathers take on tightening & loosening bolts when I was young and stripped out the threads on several. Chris's left hand twist
  13. A nice one for sure, I can see the almost transparent glass tracing the entire outside & also swirling within, you picked a winner this time !!
  14. A wise decision, he really missed a good one when you scored that sparkler !!
  15. Ah !! nice pix William, product #'s and all
  16. Authentic bag of MK just went up for sale on Ebay, looks like they have it in another bag to protect the original ?? LINK : https://www.ebay.com/itm/224554731937?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5338722076&toolid=10001
  17. Most original poly bags have a pleat vertically down the center of the back like this bag of Vitro whities. I believe this bag belongs to Al of Oregon from right here on the forum. He'll probably post on this subject, he's the bag man !!
  18. All backfilled, "Not original packaging" fake. Here's just one site that sells them, 335 listings of "fake ad packaging" LINK : https://www.ebay.com/str/theprinceofshots?_bkw=marbles
  19. "Thank You" The better the pic quality & views the more accurate & quick the I.D. My pics need work too, an ongoing process !!
  20. "Welcome to Marble Connection" Glad to have you, lots of marble & marble related knowledge & knowledgeable people here more than willing to share what they know, great to see a few pix right out of the gate, I'll give the I.D. on a couple & go from there. "Again, Welcome" I believe the two of these are "Peltier Rainbos" judging from just this one limited view ?? Generally it's a good idea to post no more than 3 marbles at a time with multiple views of each marble, i.e. top, bottom and a view of each side. A good measurement can also play a key part in the proper I.D. of certain marbles. If a measurement is given please try to use fractions of an inch i.e. 1/4, 3/4, 13/16ths etc. if not then decimals. This will all go to a much quicker, easier & more accurate I.D. "Thank You" Ah !! I almost forgot, whatever you do have fun !! Chad G.
  21. Some nice thick pulls in the mix, I think I'm hooked ??
  22. Another no lightbox freehand attempt, sorry for all the reflections & blur, boy do I have a bunch of retakes. I don't even want to think about it.
