"HAPPY AKRO FRIDAY EVERYONE" I can't remember if I posted these particular pics or not ?? 12 pages is a bit to go through so I'm going to take some new pics this weekend ( I promise)if it kills me !! (maybe ??) Interior panel Akro ware Children's China plate, opalescent base glass w/ oxblood !! Phew almost had to buts out the dictionary !! Three plates from the set, the oxblood design actually matched The highly recognizable Akro trademark on the bottom side of the plate. One of the cups that come w/ the set, also has the interior paneling, sorry the pic doesn't show it or the trademark well, never the less they are there on every matching piece. The Pitcher

Ah !! They just listed this on Ebay. Almost the exact same thing as an "Olaf's Snowball" the particles glow not the base glass, I had one given to me years ago that was over 1.5 inches & "handmade" with a sloppy pontil, unlike these machine made ones. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ LINK : https://www.ebay.com/itm/193379781638?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&campid=5338722076&toolid=10001 ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Another listing, these are smaller, around 5/8ths I believe ?? There were 116 different active listings on Ebay & a myriad of different "Glowing" marbles.

Yes one "Glowing" I am reminded was the "Olaf's Snowball" I really don't think it was the actual base glass in that case but the snowy looking particles floating all round in the base glass that "glowed" I have a few mibs that do "glow" but have no idea who made them ?? I googled "Glowing Marbles" and a multitude of them popped up. Here's one for sale from amazon, there were a bunch more, all Contemps !!

Looks like a regular flashlight to me, not a uv. one ?? If so then it's translucent base glass not uv. Glowing means when you remove regular light the glass remains "Glowing" . U.v. reactive means the base glass only reacts when a uv light is "applied", when the uv light is pulled away the reaction stops & mib has no extended glow, uv is only a "direct reaction" glowing is "indirect" your looks like translucent base glass "to me" due to the av. & dimpling in the black patch and the general structure of the mib I'll say Peltier Peerless Patch (PPP) .

Have fun Bruce, there are literally hundreds of posts !! Nantucketdink (Josh) is the most learned authority on Jabo runs & dates I know of, maybe a PM to him right here on the forum would bear some fruit for you ?? LINK : https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewforum.php?f=21 nantucketdink (Josh) link to his write ups on Jabo runs & dates LINK : https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=12106 Jabo had an astronomical amount of runs and different marbles they made, a bear to tackle w/ miles of reading, probably a good reason why no book has been written as of yet, it would be at least foot thick !!

Ah !! right Al, I had forgotten all about the "Jorkscrew" (Jabo Cork) Marble made by Jabo that never completed it's journey from one pole to another, coming up short, so not an Akro "corkscrew" a "Jorkscrew" LINK : https://www.allaboutmarbles.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=46790&p=341181&hilit=jorkscrew#p341181

Peewee Pics Anyone? And a Little Info Would be Great!
Chad G. replied to Marbleized's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Al is right, for those that collect Pee Wee's .50" (1/2") is the max. Half an inch or less to qualify, I misunderstood your statement as to post only .50 or less instead of interpreting it as a question, "Sorry about that" -
Killer pix Bill, great setup's & some beautiful mibs ...... ..... 😎
