  1. I googled "Summit slag glass Oscar the lion" says & shows it's a paperweight not a lid like the Westmorland or Imperial pieces. According to the V circle stamp showing on the bottom it is "Summit" LINK : https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=AOaemvK3GLlMzzlVrgRtvwNfEIPgbXQxow:1629990734871&source=univ&tbm=isch&q=summit+slag+glass+oscar+the+lion&sa= LINK : https://www.ddoty.com/makermarks.html
  2. Wish I could get more like that one Willian, good show, a little recoup from is better than none. Make for a great day at the float fishing (hint, hint)
  3. Don't feel like the "Lone Ranger" made the same mistake myself, let me join in ... ... now we can share the pain ... Nice pair of twin tri stage you got for the recoup at that yard sale the other day Bill Outstanding examples !! Oop !! better post a mib !!
  4. A few I picked up the other day, better individual pics are forthcoming (maybe??) I think the green might be an Imperial, sorry for the slip !!
  5. I believe the lion may be a Summit Glass Co. Product called "Oscar the lion" intended as a paperweight instead of a lid?? Not aware if Imperial & summit are linked or not ?? I googled "Imperial glass lion" & a slightly different looking lion was pictured & being used as a lid ?? I have to admit they are very similar except for the foot. & intended use. 9. Part of a small lot I picked up last week, mostly Alley but a few pelts showed up.
  10. Looks like a Pelt Cherry bomb to me, definitely Pelt, Cherry Bombs usually (not always) come in a larger size, do you happen to have the measurements ?? Pic courtesy of the "Peltier Marbles info site" This is one I have, @ just over 3/4ths"
  11. x2, I agree, after looking at them half a dozen times they look foreign made to me also. They sure are some nice lookers, like a cross between Marble King & Akro !!
  12. x2, agree with Ric on all 4 I.D.
  13. Thanks Ric, if Dustin never would have taken that shot of the infamous Jabo "butcrack" I would have been calling it an Akro (maybe?) By the way, 'nice box of mibs"
  14. "Welcome to Marble Connection" Lots of knowledge and knowledgeable people here more than willing to share what they know to help you in your marble endeavor. Have fun & again "Welcome"
  15. You can rule out Popeye, a Popeye has to have a transparent clear base & whispy white strands to qualify. Agree with lazy corkscrew as well.
  16. Hello Merlin, "Welcome to Marble Connection" Lots of Knowledge & knowledgeable people here, if it's about marbles or marble related you're in the right place. Concerning sulphides they made antique ones and still make contemporary's. A sulphide usually consists of a marble with a transparent base, which can be colored, with a 3 dimensional figure (or figures) inside, which can also be painted or colored. Yours look like almost all contemporary machine made. A few Vacor de Mexico (Mega), some Asian maybe Chinese torchwork and I see one German handmade, as Ric says and what I believe are some handmade clays up top with a single cats eye. A pic of a handful of antique Sulphides for you, I hope this helps you in your marble quest, have fun, & again "Welcome"
