Yes, those are freshwater Salmon, these are saltwater returning from being at sea for 2.5 t0 3.5 years. I'm intercepting them on their way to their spawning grounds, the closer to the ocean you catch them the better they taste. Freshwater takes something from them, I'm not sure what but after a period of time in the river they begin to taste like they have been washed out, I really can't explain it, just a big difference in the flavor. Wish you where here William you'd have a blast, closed alot in recent years because of low fish counts so you have to take advantage of it while it's open. When I was a kid there where so many fish you almost had to stand by your pole., not so anymore.

Salmon, my favorite besides Steelhead, this nice 15 pound spring chromer I caught drift fishing with 8 Lb. line right at the crack of dawn. I was Steelhead fishing but I'll take this one for our Dinner, fresh Salmon is fine table fare. Another Salmon I caught along the Columbia river plunking off the Oregon bank with spin glows, you can see Mt. St. Helens in the background to the left of my noggin still covered in snow, this nice fat hen went 23 pounds, a nice bright springer.

A few, I treasure these mibs above all the rest, given as gifts by people who consider me a friend and thought enough of me to send a little surprise. These will never leave my collection at any price !! The beat up blue slag was given to me when I was 10 years old by my Mother, my first marble, kept on a high-rise acrylic stand in a special place on the top shelf of my best curio. I have many, many Jabo's all given to me by a very good friend, all hand picked as the best they had, first ones I ever had all came as gifts, some fantastic people, among the best and closest friends I have, "Marble Friends are the Best Friends"

Some Mt. St. Helens stuff, your piece is original and real. I was just up on the mountain Saturday and stopped by the gift shop, I was gonna get ya something but not at the prices they want. The cup you have is probably $25.00. Here are a few pix of some I have bought at yard sales. An ash ware incense burner & some glass lamps all made with Mt. St. Helens ash. Incense burner $40.00, this is fired & glazed clay from the mountain just like the cup you have. The glass oil lamps, glass is made from or contains ash from the mountain. Bottom of the fired incense burner. cougar is a town on the way up to the mountain famous for all the Bigfoot sightings. The bottoms of the glass lamps, along with a group shot I have more but these are the best pieces, the incense burner is about as big as my fist. the biggest one they had at the gift shop, I was surprised to see they still made it , although the newer pieces don't say Cougar WA. on the bottom.

Nice agates man, you could make some killer mibs, pendants, artifacts lots to do with quality stuff. Can you do any wooden marble box engraving work with that CNC machine ??

"Not sure Rick" Jabo made so many runs I can't even begin to keep track, hard for me to fathom, I have enough trouble just with Akro or Pelt names, you gotta be a rocket scientist to keep up with all the name changing !!

Have you tried any wooden marble boxes yet !! I've been looking for a good cnc operator to do some work on my exotic mib boxes i.e. label Akro, Peltier w/the logos etc. ?? I don't have any templates but I bet if you posted for then they would pop up quickly !!

Both Jabo, probably near 3/4ths, green & silver colored aventurine are both present in the first one. "Nice" I like Jabo's !!
