  1. Not a corkscrew imho. Stiil might be a nice no white showing slag though. Marble--On!!
  2. The glass looks pretty clear. The older Asian market usually used recycled glass which gave the clear glass a ‘Coke Bottle” color of sorts. I thought that it may be a marble made for some manufacturing market at first but those usually show up with not so clear and slightly colored glass as well. “Cleary” is the best that I can come up with. Marble—On!!
  3. Corn Husk? Why do I just love them? So a Corn Husk just has one swirl right? Simple beauty. Marble--On!!
  4. Size alway matters! Ravenswood made more 9/16" marbles than any other company--this is the thing. @Ric is a good one to ID these and I will call him out here. Marble--On!!
  5. No Pelts here imho--both are "Allreds" from the Vitro plant. The one with the deep black is pretty cool! These are common but yours are stellar. Marble--On!!
  6. I just love these little Clearies Why--- because I did my due diligence searching “common lots”. I just love finding what should not be there. These two are just less than 5/8”, what a pair of beauties! Marble—On!!!
  7. Nice find davesnothere ! This one wants to be a slag for sure--WVS imho. Marble--On!!
  8. Nice find--I agree. Marble --On!!
  9. I think slag-like Ric--probably an Akro. Marble--On!!
  10. The salesmens cases that I have seen do not list anything under 9/16". That being said--the Popeye boxes that we are all familiar with did include one "peewee" patch. It was placed on top of the pouch in the original sale. I believe that it was called a swee-pea by collectors named after Popeyes little adopted son. If Akro made 9/16" marbles there are bound to be a few that are smaller, just a result of the marble making process. Of the older companies, Peltier is the only one that I know of that actually produced peewee marbles. Marble--On!!
  11. Bring them on William! Marble--On!!
  12. No Oxblood imho--just a great marble! Marble--On!!
  13. Too many companies made this color combo to be sure about it. It may just be a great Champion---or not. It appears to be out of round--is it? Nice find non the less. Marble--On!!
  14. The first two appear to be "Yashuda Type " handgathered marbles. The third one is more than likely a dug marble from the Alley digs--very different but it looks like a WVS pattern to me. Al opinions are appreciated and welcomed. Marble--On!!
  15. I am looking at the damage. This appears to be a well made--well cooked vintage marble that saw a lot of play. Not all slags will show white on the exterior--this may be one of those. In hand is always better but I think that you may have an Akro Slag there. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble--On!!
  16. Jabo "Classic" imho. Marble--On!!
  17. Yes--for sure! I got lost in the one that I posted for a few hours trying to figure out what I was seeing and trying to get a good image. Both were fails but it sure was fun. I lost all concept of the world around me and relieved a whole lot of that stuff that will kill you--stress. I just love this stuff! Marble--On!!
  18. I have shown two images that I think confirm that this one is not polished. The first shows what you should look for in a polished marble. White stuff in tiny holes that have sharp edges, it would be the remnants of polishing compound that is very hard to clean out after the polishing job is done. It would be deposited in polished out bubbles or hit marks. Yours appears to be a natural occurrence—notice the dark ring around it. Perhaps some imbedded debris. The second shows a “dimple”. A dimple will not survive a polish without it having sharper edges. This one shows it in the glare of your lighting—but I think that it is true. The patterns on polished machine made marbles is always thrown off a bit—much like yours vs a regular CAC of this type. I would call this one a very nice—almost mint finish on a weirdly patterned CAC Swirl. Did you grease up this marble? It has a very wet finish to it. Nice marble—nice size—great find! Marble—On!!
  19. It is a Marble King marble. I would call it a washed out "Bengal Tiger". Some others may have a more definate description and I look forward to seeing them. Marble--On!!
  20. There are Akro Christmas Trees with this color green and a few Akro oxblood patches as well. I do not think that it is an Akro though. I will lean towards Alley here—nice marble regardless of the ID. These ox on white swirls can be hard for sure. Marble—On!!
  21. I have some shots of one like it but I could swear that the buried color is oxblood. I have seen two like this in hand. 3/4" as I recall. Marble--On!!
  22. Post some images of the different sides. No dust-clean it well before taking the images. It was my first reaction as well. Marble--On!!
  23. It could appear that way--just less glass to shine light through is my opinion. Marble--On!!
  24. Nice marble Tommy! Marble--On!!
