  1. Good variety! Only one that might be newer would be the one that orbboy mentioned and the two to the left of it. More pictures of those 3 would be beneficial.
  2. Rich, I'd say the remaining ones of yours going left to right, top to bottom, numberwise, #'s 3, 8, 9 & 10 are Vitros. #12 looks Japanese. Others could be variety of foreign from Japanese to Vacor to India, China,... really hard to tell on some. Vacor put out a ton of peewees similar to some that Mike showed also.
  3. I got it so I'll let you know my thoughts when it arrives. If it didn't have some reference to free marbles on the package, it'd look like someone just wrapped a bunch of marbles in an old hot dog wrapper.
  4. I agree that Rich's marble probably is Vacor - just too odd a pattern for Japanese. Even though they had some messed up ones (Japanese), they still maintained the pattern pretty close. The Japanese had clear glass cat's-eyes, besides the coke bottle green that we are familiar with, but I'm thinking Steph is talking about crystal clear rather than 'normal' clear.
  5. If anyone wants to send a card to the family, Landon called me with this address: Kinstler Family, 323 Riverview Avenue, Capitola, CA 95010
  6. Here is a picture of John taken by Matt (biblefreak) at the Las Vegas Show last November. (If the picture works, thanks to Steph for the image link. If it doesn't work, we're stuck with a post with no picture since I cna't edit it either...).
  7. Nope, not even a masked one. Strange. Thanks for your help.
  8. Thanks, Steph, however, as I just posted in the topic in the main forum, I do not have any toolbar at the top of the reply box, whether I click on the more reply options or not. Do I have to do something to enable the toolbar?
  9. Ric & Steph - I don't have those emoticons, etc. showing in the reply area, even when I click on "More Reply Options". It has enable emoticons box which I have checked and unchecked to see if it makes a difference but they don't show up either way. Maybe an AOL browser thing but...? I have not used a hostingservie since most of the boards have procedure to upload from computer - quicker - but, maybe I'll have to figure out Photobucket or one of the hosting services.
  10. OK - I uploaded a picture to the Gallery. Now, where is this 'My Media" button located in the Reply area so I can move the pic to a post or reply?
  11. Yes, he will be missed. He enjoyed collecting and always had some hard to find marbles, boxes, etc.
  12. I just received a call about this also. Apparently he became ill and was hospitalized shortly after the Seattle Show. He was at all the West Coast shows that I attended and had some great marbles, boxes and more. He will be missed. Much too young to leave us.
  13. Lou - are you using the process that Steph shows in Post 30 and 31? That's the only way I know to upload pics and I have the same problem that Steph has. If you are not using that, why is it there? You might check with the techs to find out why it does not work.
  14. Just a follow-up on the book comment. I don't think people that write very specific type of marble books make any money off them. I think they are lucky to break even. I would just like to see all the info categorized in one place and with good pics. Steph has done a great job with the "Study Hall", etc. getting information pieced together on various marbles and topics.
  15. The 1985 MCSA Guide had no mention of the name spiral or corkscrew
  16. Maybe someone will write a book/pamphlet about the find and include pics.
  17. Hi Lou - using the same that I have been for last few years - Windows XP and the AOL browser. Must have been something when the site was redone that conflicts with AOL. I have seen that happen before - once with Pete's a couple of years ago.
  18. Also, I tried to edit the above post to add the 'd' to 'threa' in the first sentence. Same error message.
  19. Another glitch showed up. I noticed a couple typos in my reply to Rich's thread on the Joker Run pics. So, I clicked on Edit and made the changes - a ? and changing the Id to If. When I clicked on the Save Changes, I got this warning (error) message. It was the gray color warning box with blue header. In the blue header part, it had "Message from Webpage" and then in the box area, the yellow warning sign and "TypeError: 'CKEDITOR' is undefined. Then the OK button. I tried it a couple of different time with the same results. Also, still can't upload pics from my computer.
  20. Rich, are the pics being published in an upcoming book - is that the reason for watermarks? We rarely see anyone not wanting pictures to be shared - in fact, I can't remember the last time. If it is a book, when will it be done and published. Id it is not you, maybe the author will chime in. I think it would be a great book. Of course, if it isn't going to be published until all the great Jabo Special runs are done, that may be never... Maybe it'll be a Part I, Part II, etc.
