  1. I've bought from Christina a few times and never had a problem. I'll email her and see what gives.
  2. Cross thru cat's of various types shows up in Arco ,Banner, Ray Gee and Sun Brand bags also. I looked at my Azuma bags and did not see any with other than the 3 color Japanese cat's-eyes. Thereare some shooter bags and the cat's-eyes can be a little odd in some of the larger sizes but outside of an oddity in the 5/8 inch size ones, that's what you'll find in the bags.
  3. Buymarbles.com is Craig Snider with Kansas City Marble Club and is on the boards periodically. Did you email him? He keeps a lot of marble related information so he might have the specifics.

And here's a picture from 2006 (not mine) of a bag with a little different header.

I know a few years ago I tried to find out any information from Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce but they had no info. The corporation commision just had basic name info. I have bags in the Master Marble style headers, the Champion style headers (including a couple with Whirlwind on the reverse) and ones made in Japan so I am assuming they had the factories make the bags and headers for them. Here's some pics of my bags.
  6. The red & yellow looks like an Akro patch or possibly Master.
  7. I'd go with European or maybe Asian. I can't recall any Vacors that look like that unless it was one of their Atmosphere handmades and they didn't go that large.
  8. Not the same color as ones in this post but here is a picture of the Bogard cat's-eyes that Ron was talking about - from his display at the recent Texas Show.
  9. From the pictures, I would not call them cagedcat's. They do look like some oftheBogard's - they weren't all clean vanes - many 'messed up' types.
  10. Joe - it looks like you can find the video on the Dirty Jobs site. Here's the link to the 2009 videos and the marble one (when I looked just now) as the third up from the bottom on the right hand side of the lists. http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/dirtyjobs/episode/episode-tab-02.html
  11. Almost looks like a messed up nine vane and other cage style cat's-eye - neat marble!
  12. That is sad to hear. I had also heard that he was ill.
  13. Thanks for another great show report and pictures. It's neat that Diane likes to play with the kids and thinks of them with the toys.
  14. Vey nice! What is the one in the upper right in the left picture - some kind of Pelt?
  15. Nice Cub Scout - the large ones always seem to have more white showing.
  16. Here's a picture of Gutta Perchas that Galen took at he Las Vegas Show this past November
  17. Thanks - my 21st for the third time...!
  18. The better pics make it seem pretty feasible. Now the question is 'is it pink or peach?' They amde both. Here's a pic of mine from a few years ago - pink on left and peach on right.
  19. The brighter colored ones seem to be found in Wales, Camel and some of the Sun Brand bags out of Japan plus a few other miscellaneous bags.
  20. I see some that look like Ravenswood pattern but...? Also see some Champion/Alox type marbles (maybe).
  21. Why don't you email him instead of posting this to the board?
  22. Good buy Mark - so you're the one who outbid me....! Yes, they do look like the anti-blackies although sometimes Vitro had some of their other marbles in Blackies, Whities, Tiger Eyes and other bags so compare them to those types first when you get the bag in-hand.
  23. I thought the term sulphide has been used for couple hundred years or more? As for the term being used with marbles, I'd guess from the mid to late 1800's.
