  1. Here's a couple views of one of mine. Then some other pics I had saved from the past (not confirmed as Vitro oxbloods but ID'd as such so...?
  2. I have not seen any Woolworth's named bags at all so any would be nice to see. There are a lot of advertising bags for soda pop, food, various clothing/shoe companies & varied other companies. A lot of them have Alley swirls or MK patch & ribbons or MK Cat's-eyes or Peltier bana cat's-eyes as well as many Vitros. A lesser few have Champion or Alox swirls. Here's a few odds 'n ends bags that I have. The Dr. Pepper bag has Heaton (verified by Ron). The Nestle's bag has two red & white St. Marys cat's-eyes in it.
  3. That'd be a nice find but, for example, here's one I bought (on the left), in hand, in a group (all $1 or so each) and didn't have a light until I got home. Thought it was a score (and it still was overall) but the black was the dark transparent green base showing through. In hand, with no backlighting, it looked just like this pic.
  4. Some great looking colors and patterns in thee - thanks for sharing that.
  5. Enjoy some ice fishing and celebrate the big day - still got a ways before the half century mark!
  6. Unfortunately everybody will think it is one if you put it on eBay. By the way, what is it?
  7. Time flies when we're having fun so maybe Steve's 'three years or so' is 4 to 5 years. The thread Galen posted was 4 years ago+ and they were mentioning not only 'crows' but 'kingfishers'.
  8. Here's wvmarbles' pic from last April and Patry's 'Crow's Nest' (from 2007)
  9. That's great work you do! I'd be bringing every one home with me if I did volunteer work there.
  10. Have a great day - heading for half a century but you still got a couple years to go...
  11. Good show - too bad they didn't get more pics of the 'classic' (Eagles?) marbles but they hadn't cooled yet so.........
  12. Jo mentions 'Wednesday' Dec 8th. It airs Tuesday, Dec. 8th - that's tonight. It may repeat early am on Wednesday the 9th.
  13. Beautiful marble - colors do look a little European though.
  14. Happy belated birthday - was out of town yesterday!
  15. I agree with duffy on value. I'm curious, what shipping date was there on the box and where was it shipped from? It'd be good information for those if us tracking actual dates of any type. Thanks in advance.
  16. That Bogard bag may be a fake/fantasy type. It's just like the ones the guy from Florida did in the mid-90's (53 various type fake/fantasy bags). I'm not aware of Bogard making those type of cat's-eyes nor do I think they filled their bags with anyone else's marbles liek that.
  17. Good examples of the basic Japanese 6-vane, 3 color 'v' cat's - good pics, too!
  18. The Gropper boxes (jobber style like this) that I have seen are all 5X5 or some are 4X10 - never seen any with 4X6. As Steph mentioned there is at least one eBay seller that is good at faking old & worn looking labels and boxes.
  19. Congrats! You'll find that duffy's comment is true. If I had to find work(been retired 11 years+), I couldn't find time to do work now. Can barely find time to go on vacation....
