  1. Hee's more pics of that commissioned piece of art in the hotel lobby - lots of neat artwork through the hotel - even on each floor.
  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Windy.
  3. I didn't see anything posted yet so hope I am not wrong. If I'm correct, have a great birthday, Lou!
  4. I haven't see the name before or boxes like that. No reason to think they are not original. The marbles do look like some that Don Miller (poplarhead) had posted before as early Vacors and I think Patry had even confirmed that.
  5. Interesting, nice looking marble but I don't see the normal Pelt reversal of color order on each side of the seam. Looks like a Vitro to me. But, I don't specialize in Pelts or Vitros so...?
  6. The first show I went to was SeaTac (by Seattle) back in 1998. I had not made the decision to collect marbles yet. My wife and I attended the show itself (knew nothing abotu the in-room trading, etc.). I bought one MK Bumblebee for $7 and that was all I bought. Went home and started to learn about marbles; decided on machine made marbles; decided to collect packaging to learn who made what marbles and voila....
  7. Here's the link I use: http://www.brickfish.com/Pages/PhotosAlbums/PhotoView.aspx?picid=886496_83068090&=PPIMEMAIL_PPIMEMAIL&isep=1&pbapi=2472020&pbvi=84826897
  8. He is losing ground - up (or down) to 100 now. Let's get voting again. I'm able to vote several times a day - the 8 hours doesn't seem to matter.
  9. Sounds like a nice visit - cool marbles!
  10. The first pic is one of Patry's from October 2002. The other is one Dani (zaboo) did last year.
  11. Yup, it'll be fun to see some marbles and marble people...arriving Wednesday also.
  12. I agree with Alan - not the place. All that will happen is more people will leave this board also. Pretty soon there will be no board where marble collectors or those with some interest in marbles will have a comfortable place to chat, learn and enjoy marbles. Please, no more about SP.
  13. Of course Stan could be mistaken but on Pg 64 of the Sulphide book by Stan Block and M. Edward Payne, it says porcupine.
  14. Not sure on the Peerless whether it is or a Vitro. Red & green is newer MK watermelon; the ? might be Cairo (or Alley); helmet is right; other white with 2 stripes is a ? for newer or Vitro - lean ot Vitro.
  15. There do not appear to be any high end marbles there - maybe 5 cents to a buck at most so...
  16. Here's my pics of Chinko ... Box by Peltier
  17. Great pics and story, Griff - thanks for sharing with us!
  18. That's great, Craig. Thanks for all those great tidbits that you periodically come up with. I always look for your posts.
