  1. The cat's-eyes in the bottom pic (the 3 color ones) could have been made in Mexico, Japan, Taiwan - many similar over the last 40 years or so.
  2. The marble with the orange outisde vanes is a cage style cat's-eye marble - foreign made and probably from Vacor in Mexico - especially one over 1 inch in size.
  3. Unfortunately I can't make it this year. Y'all have fun and I don't want to hear about it (just the marble and show pics...).
  4. You and Craig - great Halloween treats for both of you...!
  5. Kinda looks like this bag I saved some pictures of from back in 2005 - in fact, might be the same one - is it?
  6. Well, one project for him would be to make up some Vacor ID sets to sell or give away...
  7. WOW! I just got back yesterday from vacation in South Carolina - must have just missed those...LOL!
  8. I did not know Paul but it is always sad to hear about a fellow collector and friend pass on.
  9. Ahhhh, you mean this 'zoo' of his - great stuff!
  10. And here is a picture (3 views of 3 marbles) that Ron sent me last year.
  11. I agree with bubba on your box pic - colorful marbles. Keep trying on the Vitro V's - once you see them, you may want to specialize in them. Here's Andrea's picture of some Vitro V's from 2001. The top two rows, she called 'lips'.
  12. From Ron Shepherd's display at the Texas Marble Show last weekend - the word Alley is made up of Tater Bugs....
  13. Hope you had a chance to enjoy your birthday!
  14. These are some of my non CA type flames.
  15. Hey, that's been my screen saver for the last few years...
  16. What general area do you live in - many of us have contacts all over the US - maybe we can put someone in touch with you? Also, when it comes to marble ID in books, the vast majority shown are ones that have a little bit of value to them (or a lot) but 95% of the marbles that you find in the wild are 'common' and you don't find them in the books.
  17. May your marble days extend forever!
  18. All the current listings mention German in the title. One even mentions Alley in the title along with German.
  19. And here's a link to the other thread for the report on the 2009 show http://marbleconnection.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=12147
