  1. Geez Griff. You're such a good guy I had to give it a bid. I wonder where it will end up?
  2. Hi Edna- Great Avatar. It looks like it suits you well. Hello Suzie, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I hope you can recover from losing Molly. I lost my best friend a little over a year ago. Here is Fritzie the new addition to our family. This is his first year birthday photo. This little clown has been the love of my life for the last year. Yes, He's wearing me out, but we are on the road to a long frienship. Regards, Lloyd Huffer- Fritzies pop
  3. Every one of those 20 Yellow boxes had a Pee Wee tucked in the bag. .
  4. Thanks for the compliments guys. Finding those Popeye Boxes with Oxbloods in them was one of the most fun scores I had in over 25 years of dealing in marbles. I bought 20 Popeye boxes from a young man that got them for free in his grandfather's desk drawer. As soon as we heard about them my wife & I put a plan in play and drove out to see them. We met with the seller & his girlfriend in a little middle of nowhere diner out in the midwest. When this fella opened a paper bag with the 20 Yellow Popeye Boxes you could hear my chin hit my chest. When I saw the Oxblood Marbles in them I tried not to say anything, but I am pretty sure my comment was- "Holy Shit!" After I made an offer on the batch and paid for them he said- "I thought I might get 10 or 15 dollars a box for them" "What do I do with all this money?" His Girlfriend- "Shhh! We'll just put it in my purse until we get home." Chris & I continued on driving out west to do the Santa Cruz Show. We sold quite a few boxes right away at the show. It seem like everybody wanted one! They were all gone by the time next year's show rolled around. .
  5. Fritzie is a very friendly working dog. Typically alert, and not the least bit mean. Fritz has had limited cat experience. Only some fooling around with my son's kitten. They have had quite a bit of fun together. The little fella is still a pup. He will be 14 months old on Dec 25th.
  6. Hey Griff- Happy Birthday! I hope it's warm and cozy where you are. It's colder'n a well diggers donkey up here. Best Wishes from Upstate Pennsylvania, Your Friend, Lloyd Huffer
  7. I am pretty sure they look like Dodo eggs to me.
  8. TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING, BUT I JUST COULDN'T SLEEP. I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS, I TRIED COUNTING SHEEP. THE LEFTOVERS BECKONED - THE DARK MEAT AND WHITE, BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT. TOSSING AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION, THE THOUGHT OF A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION. SO, I RACED TO THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR, AND GAZED AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES GALORE. GOBBLED UP TURKEY AND BUTTERED POTATOES, PICKLES AND CARROTS, BEANS AND TOMATOES. I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND, 'TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND. I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY, WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE. BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES.... HAPPY EATING TO ALL - PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE. MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY, MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP. MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP. MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS. MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE, MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

  19. JVV, WoW! When I first saw your post & pictures earlier this AM I was floored! Now, it looks even better. I would say the marble is very rare indeed, a special one of a kind marble. All that hard work you spend looking for marbles pays off again. I am sure it has a spot in your collection. I recently got an e-mail link from a fellow handmade collector that shows some of your marble display. I have to say WoW! once again. You definitely have a beautiful collection of marbles. Thanks for sharing, Lloyd
