  1. Confucius say, Man with torch can do crack and whole repair
  2. Absolutely beautiful mibs!!!! Think I may recognize one or two.
  3. You are not barred have no idea why your posts did not show. Your most recent one is showing.
  4. Did not mean to sound too negative. Wishing you all the success possible. Several of us have been talking about getting a show going again in the Bay Area but it hasn't gotten past the talk stage as yet.
  5. 2 hour drive from the major airport will limit attendees
  6. Sorry, but all I see are 4 vein marbles in that add. Some are short but they do not look at all like Peltiers to me.
  7. I have not heard the term scraping used in a few years. Although I have heard the furnace glass was sometimes scraped off the sides of the tank, so there is a reason the first term(Champion furnace scraping marbles) was originally used.
  8. STOP IT!!!!! was to anyone making the tank wash marbles (That resemble Vintage marbles). Looks like I confused everyone:)
  9. Don't believe every marble story you hear, I agree there are tens of thousands of Champion marbles that some would confuse as the marbles from this particular run but the individual color types are very well documented from this run. And nice round unfractured examples of several of the colors are fairly rare. The run is very well documented. Of course a good close up picture would be worth a thousand words.
  10. Steph, at jabo during the special runs the tank washes were done to remove one type of base glass that was in the tank so another type could be started. Certain things were sometimes added during some of these washes which resulted in some very interesting mibs(PLEASE STOP IT) (LOL)
  11. Cullet marbles used to mean marbles made from ground down cullet. So many torch workers have started melting cullet to make marbles we now have the term used for those.
  12. Simply put, to most all machine made marble collectors, Furnace Marbles are the Champion tank wash marbles made one day with a bunch of Wissmach glass. It is that simple. Here are some from that batch
  13. Very interesting swirls. I wonder if some swirls were not also made in Asia
  14. I know CAC did for sure. but pee wee is 000 isn't it?
  15. Better pics needed as it is tough to ID many marbles from photos.
  16. Other than the pics being slightly washed out(may be my monitor) it is an excellent job IMO. You forgot to include a marble in the post though(LOL)

  18. I stated then ridges were proof the marble had not been polished. You are correct in assuming Newer marbles are usually better made than this one and do not have the ridges.
