  1. Very hard to date as folks got hold of thousands of the headers and have been bagging them for years.
  2. I think high opening bids affect the seller in that they more often than not keep the marble from selling. Look how long Blocks marbles stay listed.
  3. The good Lord willing and the creek don't rise I will be there. Be nice to meet you also.
  4. those are all the type called Japanese Transitionals. They can be found up to a little over an inch. As for the feathery one being hand gathered I would definitely need it in hand to even make a guess. Most anything is possible with marbles but I just do not think the feathery pattern was something done when handgathering. Getting the glass to stay layered in those extremely fine layers after a gather or two would have been extemely difficult IMO(if even possible)
  5. I question whether the blue is handgathered but Pelt made Millions of handgathered slags in many colors. I have never seen the feathery pattern in any of their handgathered slags. And I have seen many boxes of mixed colors. Red(Cerise) is the only color slag they sold in one color boxes. All the other slags they made were sold in color assortments.
  6. Those CACs are sweet!! That Pelt isn't too shabby at all! All neat mibs for sure.
  7. Aventurine is common in the green types. Some of the ones with very distinct 3or4 veins may not be Peltier Bananas.
  8. Always make sure all damage on a marble is described if you do not have it in hand. The number system varies greatly depending on who is using it. And a good thing to remember if you ever intend to sell your marbles is that many(if not most) long time collectors will not consider a marble with any not as made defects or damage(even a pinprick) mint. IMO ebay and some of the major sellers have lowered grading over the years as to what is mint or not. Many folks are shocked when they attempt to sell a marble they bought as mint and it gets returned because of slight damage.
  9. In hand you can tell. This is a problem with one pic. That is a good reason one should always ask the seller for more pics if there are any questions or doubts about any marble for sale on Ebay.
  10. I would call it a Dragon. Nice.
  11. IMO It is an old German Handmade Mica. And if mint would probably be worth 3-5 Xs that price.
  12. I had a peach blow darning egg in the shape of a pear. It was an absolutely beautiful delicately colored piece. Much more peachy-pink than red.
  13. I do not know the seller but calling a marble mint with a couple hits and saying it is OK to call it mint because it is a large marble might put a few folks off. At least he describes the condition.
  14. Spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Plates are over rated (lol) no problem though, gives me an excuse to eat seafood 2 nights!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I do agree they are not the new MKs I was thinking about. Steph comes through again!
  17. If it was OK to use over and a different company was making that type marble why would they get rid of it???????
  18. I have always wondered if this was a bag name that became a company name like Champion was at one time. And those are some killer mibs in the bag!!
  19. Look like Cane cut marbles from here. s. I say that because Micas are built in layers and handgathered marbles are not. There are some older groundpontil micas for sure.
