I have seen several with a very Fine line of accidental Oxblood. One had it in the 9 and was very attractive. I wouldn't call them Persian Oxbloods but they are very cool. The stuff in that marble also looks very accidental to me.(can't see the Oxblood?)
Winnie may have just posted hers because they are pretty not really calling them Rainbos.> I do not believe they are "Rainbos". Many of them and 6 ribbon tri-colors have been found in National Line packaging?? There are non National Line types but I believe they have 4 ribbons IMO
got plenty of black and yellows. they will be with me. still have a few nicer Alleys ,I shall bring them also.. Its going to be nice seeing some of the folks I haven't gotten to see in a while and those I have never met face to face. Here is what I still need . Can't find any email. Tell Bill to use Galenww at gmail.com
actually moss has nothing at all to do with Moss Agate.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moss_agate It is mineral inclusions that take on the form of moss. (dendritichttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendrite_%28crystal%29) Some times iron oxide or manganese oxide.
Bob, just gotta let you know how much I appreciate you rekindling old wonderful memories.
Banana flavored marshmallow peanuts at Grandma Nestlerodes house. Both her and Grandpa were diabetic but Grandma always had candy available to the grand kids.
The indoor water pump(small version just like the outdoor pumps) on the kitchen counter at Great Aunt Gerts House?? They either built the kitchen around the well or the pump drew water from a cistern under the house??
Not a nice memory but a vivid one. 1st bowl of Cocoa Puffs involved very violent upchucking. Even the sight of chocolate cereal of any type still results in feelings of revulsion.
I don't do cereal for breakfast but do have it for the occasional evening snack. Banana Frosted Flakes being on the menu.
It has probably stuck and will not change but a problem when using it with the Jabos, Sammys is that there were often hundreds of varieties of marbles made in the time period "the Run" was done in. So I think we are actually talking about two or maybe 3 completely different meanings for "Run" when it comes to marbles. So like many words in the English language it really can have many definitions.
We went to Hinkley to see the buzzards roost when I was young. We did see the sign that said the vultures roosted in the trees at the far end of the field. We went home. They do roost in a few groups of big Eucalyptus trees in the town next door. Pity the poor fool that parks under those trees.
In Eagle Scouts one of our buddies climbed a cliff to look at the vulture nest. There isn't a much worse smell than a kid with vulture vomit all over him
Didn't realize I had so many Cathartes aura stories
Other than "Some types I like" I wish I knew!! Been wondering about and studying them for quite some time. Very little luck at all other than there seem to be several varieties.
As a matter of fact Winnie, as Mike asks those are Congoleum G&M Mibs. (LOL)
Galen and Mike collaborations made in Mikes Kitchen with rolling on the floor being part of the process(the marbles, not us)
