  4. It could have been alley inspired,Ric.--wink wink. Heavey textured drizzles were "accidents",but the smooth, fine lines,,,,,,, Should I make you a reservation?----LOL
  5. DRIZZLE DRIZZLE! Makes me think,"cherry bomb" Drizzle Drizzle! The jokes on Dallen,of course,I got blamed!--LOL Its a "double". Drizzle Drizzle!
  6. Looks like a marble king gone wild. Do a side by side color comparison with a mk cub scout if you have one around. It does look like it is a white based marble,(down in the chips)with veneered color on the surface.
  7. I think,January,some time.(also) Have to poke around,,,,,,,,,
  8. Thats a Good one! Those teeth, and that grill go perfect. Good eye. Griff
  9. Yeah,I had that problem when I first started collecting marbles, but most of that went away, with this ongoing, learning proccess Im in. Griff
  10. I dont know,Joe.I havent heard anything about it,but I havent been able to see it since some time, last week. Griff
  11. Long tail, looks like a lion of some type. Maybe some more photo's,in natural light?
  12. Ok,YOU GOT A DEAL AND THERE ARE WITNESSES! Do you want to go ahead and mail that to me,now? Love to hit lake erie, some time.Right now, there's big stripers along the coast, steel head up in northern NY. Griff
  13. Its probably a good thing, the colors dont match up to the old. If they did,I dont think I would want to be around for that chemical bath,at the plant!
  14. Ill trade you 4 bags of yellow perch fillets,a rainbow from squam lake,,,and half a striper. SWEET MARBLE!
  15. History repeats itself,,, Time stands still for no one,,, Ive never seen a truely magical crystal ball,,, Jabo is,and will be a part of marble history,,,,, All marbles were new,at one time,,,,, I like anchovies, and its not important to me,if anyone else likes them,,, (unless theres a limited supply, and theres 2 of us at the table) Collect them for what ever reason YOU choose,,,
  16. Heres another thought,if you have an accumulation of chipped up marbles. Find a old mason jar or old bottle that has appeal,to you, fill it up with the chipped up ones, pour it full of baby oil, cork or cap it with a good seal. You will get a good view of the marbles, and you dont have to disturb the history,or charicter of the marbles. Griff
  17. Its just like the rest of the world. The continuation of higher education. You CAN, do it!
  18. I would still put it in Leroys hands, just to be sure.Pictures can be deceiving, and there is no substitute for "hands on".
  19. Those are some of the most beautiful marbles Ive seen. They have kind of a champion look to them, but with a lot more color. You know,if you were living in the 30's,and you had money to spend,(that was rare in itself)Id bet you could have bought just as many guineas,in that era.You will not find that many at shows, because there hidden in collections. "Forced collectable"?Thats seems about as intelligent as "politicaly correct". But what would I know, evidently Im of lower brain capacity too, because my opinion is differant. Please refer to my x-ray in the upper left corner .
  20. Im not Leroy, but my guess would be the final results would not be good,as far as the remaining pattern, after being in a sphere machine. Its difficult to judge, from the one picture, but here is what I see. The one chip, near the pontil looks like it is down to the lutz.If you would polish it down, until you had it completly gone, there would be open, clear panels on the ends.Usualy the structure in those, have the color and the lutz, very close to the surface, near the pontils, meaning there is less, clear glass you can remove, before you start to remove the color. Maybe a partial polishing, with a few of the deeper chips, remaining. Its always difficult to make the call, without the marble in hand.Even with the best photography.
  21. Thats the original protype. That means you have #1 of 7 made. I need to make a brand, that says hand crafted,USA. That would officialy make them rare as hell, because I cant remember buying anything in recent years, that was made in this country. Griff
  22. Looking at it now.I didnt see anything in the listing about jabo.
  23. Hey!---Thanks for the compliment. That would be a flourescent based, lime green.
