bumblebee
These are beautiful. I can't help but think how many toddlers back in Akro Agate's heyday devoured these marbles because of their rich candy-like colors. It's kind of fun imagining if they were candy what they might taste like, and what candy names we'd give them.
MR BALES
I do not actively collect Akro, but a few nice ones find me once in a while. Here's one I like.

bumblebee
I just got these two bruisers in the mail this morning. Appear to be mint condition except for one sparkle on one. Haven't measured them exactly but I added two 5/8" ones for comparison.
MrsMopar
Fantastic pics folks! And according to the American Machine-Made Marbles book, Akro started in 1910, so this would make it a centennial celebration...how kewl is that! :-) Felicia
Ally Opp
A trio of 1 3/16" Moonies. Notice the nice fire glow cast on the cloth surface.

My oh My oh my! 3 is an odd very odd number. now 2, so much balance in 2 "whatayahaf, whatayahaf" most available for trade. Ally Opp
I feel like I've been blown out of the water, Alan!! Avast that cannon fire with your Akros! Seriously, do you have any Cardinal Reds amongst that last over-powering onslaught? I've got some tiny ones, just over the 1/2" mark that were dug, but don't really know them to be the Cardinals. Take a look!

orbboy
Here is an old pic of what I was filling up as a display shelf. Not too much into doubles of a colour combo (there are a couple there). Since out-grown this shelf though.
