ann
One of my favorites -- still --, years after Alan B. sold it to someone else, not me (sob) . . .
disco005
I was really surprised to see the oxblood in this old slag, kind of beat up, but this is the only one I have.
J_Ding
That ox slag is terrific. Great catch...that's a fair bit of ox hiding in there!

J_Ding
Killer mibs....those green bricks are choice! And the rest no slouches too, especially the ox Pelt which is exemplary. Nice Alleys up there too. This thread is shaping up nicely.

orbboy
Not many of these around. In the thousands of this type I have/had these are numbers 5-10. The other 5 had nowhere near as much "blood" as these ones

J_Ding
Nice one just up there. I would think a good guess is that it is an Akro that didn't cork. I have one that is completely folded like yours so that the two seams nearly meet. I can also match the cork in those colors and the dark wood grain red....I'll see if I can find the file and post. JerryG
I know I've posted this before, but I never get tired of showing it off. I love this old handgathered, ground pontil oxblood. Surface is pristine -- if you ignore all the annealing cracks.
