Ric
Are baseballs any type of blue ribbon?
Steph
I don't know! I _think_ so ... maybe as long as the ribbons touch? Does everyone require baseball ribbons to touch? Or come close? (Some people don't require blue ribbons.)
sclsu
I believe baseball's can have a few different color ribbons, but has the same white base
kbobam
I was thinking the same way. Not in any position to say, but my 'personal feeling' has always been that a baseball simply requires a continuous pattern that pretty clearly resembles the shape of tradition baseball stitching. And nothing, or not much, else. I've also always enjoyed my collection of different-colored baseballs. Maybe they aren't. I'm willing to accept that. But I really don't understand the 'blue' concept. Red would make much more sense! ( :

Steph
This marble is/was sometimes called a Champion Jr. (photo from LOM) Some of the collectors who use(d) the Champ Jr. name use(d) it for a wider variety of Rainbos, not just the dark ones with white and yellow/orange ribbons. I was fond of the name at one point ... but to be honest it was probably mostly because Galen didn't like it. Someone asked about it on facebook so I decided to go ahead and post it here also. lstmmrbls
I still cringe when I hear someone call a marble a Champion Jr.

Steph
I recently learned about the Indian Blanket flower -- my stepmom and I got to talk to each other about both our hobbies at once. Her and her flowers, me and my marbles.
