Mikie_T
I almost forgot this little guy (sorry little fella). It measures in at .470.
shotgun
Would these be Pee Wee's ... hard to tell size in one picture , but all are the same size as the second or smaller ... Thanks Doug
Steph
Hard to tell, Doug. Need a pretty precise measurement. Hard to see where the edges of the marble line up on the ruler. My hunch is the that the 2nd marble is a little wider than 1/2". You could get an inexpensive caliper. Or use a circle template. Be careful on that though. I think some templates aren't the exact size they say -- I think some are a little bigger to give you space to draw in.
kbobam
Hah! I love it. That's brilliant! Although I'm sure there are templates out there that fit marble analysis perfectly, it makes sense that some don't. I'd guess that for 'technical drawing' purposes it might sometimes be required to have the ability to draw a line which 'defines' a given-sized space without being part of it. shotgun
OK... I have ordered a circle template ... to figure out the Pee Wee's .... When I decide to sell or trade for vintage fishing lures .... this collection after I get everything sorted out .... is it better to sell the Pee Wee's separate ? Thanks Doug
Steph
Yes, I think so. Being a peewee adds extra value, so you'd want to highlight that and not have it be diluted with other larger marbles. Just be sure that they're reall 1/2" or less to avoid frustration down the road. lstmmrbls
If you got an architectural template for drawing circles many of the marbles that fit through the holes "may" not be true peewees. You have to be sure the hole isactually .500 of an inch
Steph
Don't know the size on these. But they're called Peewees. Well, "Pewees".
Steph
Another pic of the two peewees in their orig. box. Some 5/8" marbles around it for comparison. https://scontent.fden3-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/270941_4288294331939_1486982750_n.jpg?oh=3d9995c3ecbcbb09d7ce202de14e4f63&oe=5665BE4D This really is a wonderful display idea! winnie
Peewee,I believe it's called foile marbles,or something like that.
Ric
More ecologically friendly than Lite-Brite, no doubt. There are similar foils in Transogram Mosaic games from the 1930s. The foil is usually applied over clay, isn't it?
