b-80 Posted April 4, 2018 Report Share Posted April 4, 2018 Leroy Johnson known nationally as the "Marble Mender" passed away on March 9th 2018 in York, Nebraska. He was 82. Leroy was a Navy veteran who enlisted right after high school in 1954. Leroy loved to hunt, fish and restore old marbles. He is survived by his wife Judy, 4 sons and 10 grandchildren. Al Oregon Posted April 5, 2018 Report Share Posted April 5, 2018 Here is obituary and picture in their local paper and picture of Leroy and wife Judy back in 2002 Leroy Johnson age 82 of York, Nebraska died Friday, March 9, 2018 at York. On Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 1:30 – 4:00 PM, there will be an informal gathering for friends and family to celebrate Leroy’s life at the York Area Senior Center. The family wishes you can come and go as you please. No viewing or visitation as cremation has taken place, but memorials may be sent to York Adopt-A-Pet or to any pet rescue of your choice. He ask me if I was on the marble boards and I thought it was like a bowling league. I didn’t know what a board was in 2002ish. I have some big handmades he polished for me.
