These little ashtrays always amaze me with the variety of shades and colors involved--almost as many as a corkscrew. Some of these come with an amazing amount of Ox or UV and many line up with the more rare corks/akros such as oxblood and lemonade. I just love these things. We used to hunt these but just like corks--there are a lot of "commons". Thanks for sharing it--great find. Marble--On!! Been buying them when possible for 25 years. Still looking for the lemonade ox…😬

The Nickel Guy
I got a gift in the mail today from one of you. I will keep my buddy anonymous but not hide my amazement. Thank you my freind. There is a nice Vitro Tiger eye, sweet pee wees, Master brushed patches and more. Almost half light up with UV light. I haven't quite taken a sit down yet, just to take and edit these images. I need to study them. This display box looks to be an expertly repurposed jewely box. Home made and I love it! Quite a coincidence that I am having two of Lawrence Alley III cigar boxes fitted with glass as I type this at the mirror and glass shop. I am dumbstruck! I got all this and some change. Wooo Hoooo! With flash and outside. 1

schmoozer
Went knife hunting this past weekend, total bust. hit a local antique store and uncovered this. 2-1/16” onionskin original surface w/no hits or pops. ground pontil 4 lobes, red/green/blue/red “spotty” ( never heard that term before) what’s the guideline for its proper name?
Ric
@schmoozer Nice find, Brad! I think some people refer to the spotty ones as "end of days" - I'm not crazy about it. And I'd probably refer to it as paneled rather than lobed. 1

I’m not a German handmade kind of guy….so my vernacular is severely retarded. the seller was apparently less educated (price-wise), although he did call it an EOD.

The Nickel Guy
Not going to be the most exciting post for many of you but every Tuesday night is Mega Marble Assorted Bag sorting night. I usually pick up about 10 bags a week and make up my own 24 + 1 shooter sets or add to inventory until I have enough for sets. Tonight was a pretty good night and I only had 5 casualties. Sometimes there are a lot more that don't make the cut. Got a bunch of rather unusual oddballs this time ( stack on left side middle ).
