Steph
I got new babies on Monday, at six weeks and two days old. A little early but they are weaned and litter trained. They love their Friskies pâté. The "big" one is a girl. Her name is Bear. She is normal size -- about 1.5 pounds. The little one is half her weight. His name is Punkin. I was told they were both boys. But nooooooo. So she's getting spayed in a month or two. We have to fatten up the boy quite a bit before he can be neutered. In addition to being so tiny, he has something wrong with his front legs. He walks on his elbows. We're taking him to an orthopedic specialist on Tuesday. But even though he has trouble walking, he's pretty darn good at running and jumping, so they are getting some good kitten playtime in. He likes me. She runs away when I come into the room. He comes up to me. 1
Peltier Mibber
Oh the little baybas. So cute. Hopefully all will be well on Tuesday only time will tell with Punkin. I'm sure Bear will come around eventually.

Steph
In our forearms we're supposed to have two bones. The kitty orthopedist said that Punkin is missing all or part of one of the bones, in each arm. This is not something that is likely to be fixable. Months of uncomfortable treatment _might_ result in some improvement, but the vet recommends just letting Punkin be Punkin, keeping his nails trimmed for him, and periodically checking his arms for sores from how he runs on them. So that is the plan.

William
My 3 critters....first picture is Whiskers (always have to have a cardboard box for him lol), second picture is Baby Girl...she's older, around 10 years. Whiskers is actually her son and he's 4 years. Third picture is Uno, a bulldog/hunting dog mix. She's 4 years old and a registered service animal for Patty. I had 3 other cats before these guys moved into my house 2 years ago. That would be the fourth picture, Dominique (white) and his sister Gabriel (black). I had them from 1996 until 2015 when they passed. My third kitty back then was Brittney, a miniature calico (sorry can't find a pic) who was a outdoor save when she was 3 months old in 2001. Lost her to age in 2017. Enjoyed the pet sharing you guys!
William
I took Dominique and Gabrielle back down to Iowa too their "home farm" where they are resting in their grandparents (who our friends Rhonda and Art became known as) pet cemetery. The whole area is covered in orange lilies 😊...Brittney on the other hand never had a true place of origin other than the nursing home where she hung out until I brought her home so she stayed with me 😊

Steph
My kiddos will turn 11 weeks old tonight. Have had them for a month. I'm making myself get a little practice with the video on my cellphone before they get too big. Big is relative here. I think they'll stay small as far as cats go. Punkin was only 1.5 pounds at the 10 week weigh-in. Bear was 2.5, so she's still in normal range, but their parents are pretty small. I'm used to some gigantic cats. I'm looking forward to cats that will stay small enough to share lap room. If you watch on fullscreen you can see some pretty good detail on Punkin's forelegs. Edit: oh yes, I forgot the video shows up pretty big already in Marble Connection's format.

Aww, that's a lotta cat 😊 my 2 big ones pictured in this thread were big also, as seen by the laundry basket they are sharing. Dominique was 16 pounds and Gabrielle was 15 pounds. Little Brittney was lucky to ever hit 8 pounds! Looked like a kitten her whole life.

Steph
12 weeks old. Bear is 3 pounds, 1 oz. Punkin is 1 pound, 14 oz. They're crazy people. They adore each other but that doesn't stop them from playing the most violent games of chase and trying to kill each other for about an hour a day. Punkin is able to move very fast when he has a goal in mind (such as getting to a food dish or chasing his sister) but he doesn't go exploring the way Bear does. Thus he doesn't know his way around the house as well as she does. But he has the tiniest, most adorable little squeak when he wants help with something ... and he gets what he wants. I still haven't taken a lot of videos. Here's one with Punkin's new favorite toy.

Sooo glad to see them both getting along well !! Oop !! did I say "mouse" Squeak !! Squeak !!
Marbleized
Wow! Punkin is a speedigazoo! And so focused too! Best to have two kittens at the same time. Otherwise you would have had to be a participant in the "violent games" that kittens play! Thanks for sharing! (I can never get enough kitty photos and videos!)
William
Found this shooter on the floor this morning....and here's the guilty party (Whiskers) snooping under the stove seconds after I took the first picture. He walked over as soon as I knelt too take the picture of the marble, meowing, then walked out too the kitchen and began to reach under the stove. What on earth could possibly be under there? 🤔😉
