Fire1981
The lid looks to be of Northwest influence to me. Maybe Mount Hood,Rainier or Mount St.Helens before it blew up.
Fire1981
I think the wall tent is interesting and could possibly attach it to a time period.
Chad G.
I was thinking Mt. St. Helens myself Rick. I only live 50 miles away & see what's left of the Mountain every day out my back door. As a kid we used to go to Spirit Lake Park (Mt St. Helens) trout fishing with my Grandfather, directly across the lake against the Mountainside just like the picture was the Boy scout , Girlscout camps. It really does remind me of my Childhood, plus we had cups just like that in cub scouts ?? Hmmm !! I wonder ?? Gonna try and google it right now. Wow !! A what a menagerie of cups, it's gonna take a while but I "think" I'll find the correct one out of all these listed ?? Fire1981
You are on it. I jumped a few fires out of the Winthrop Base and this country is amazing. It was fun getting paid to see it. No Rocky Mountains on that lid.

I'm glad I posted it now, had no idea about it's origin as I never really looked it up. Patty remembered her family having collapsible cups while camping when she was a kid and told me what it was before I opened it! Happy you guys liked it and looking forward to seeing it's mates! There's a hard glossy coating with an interesting mosaic design on what seems to be a 5/8" glass marble. It's a pretty crazy thought but the chocolate covered marbles have me thinking about a candy coating.

Chad G.
Guess I could call this a "fountain marble" though it's not made of glass but acrylic. They tore out the old fountain at the hospital and this is what was used to splay out the water at the top. A lucky find "I guess"

Chad G.
Time to bust out the "Big Boys" An old tinted Blue glass Japanese fishing net float. Covered in what's called "oil netting" . The thing is really heavy, the glass must be around 1/4" thick in the thin spots. I got it at the coast from a vendor Friend of mine for my Sister who collects floats. You oughta be well associated w/ these Brad, probably picked one up off the beach, though it's a very, very rare occasion anymore to find an original float like this one. I had a BB gun fight w/ the neighbor, I had a Benjamin pump pellet gun and he had a one pump daisy, you can guess who won. I call it my "one shot wonder" Later that day as his Father was digging the pellet out he banned me from his house for life.
