What is the count demarcation?

Rick says a Flicker has 1-4 flame tips in the OP and I assume more as long as the tips are not stacked 5 high, because then it would be a full-fledged Flame - an Inferno if you're lucky.

That may be it Ric a "Flicker", the bird not the marble:confused-smileys-17:.

I have had one at the birdfeeder this winter. A "Northern Flicker".

I have been feeding birds since I first was married (a long time,45 years now). I have never had one at a feeder--ever.

He/she does appreciate the suet for sure.

Marble--On!!

We've been feeding them since we were married 45 years ago too, Art. Still using the feeder my Uncle Buck made us for a wedding present. It's been painted and re-shingled a few times but it's been through about 6 states and it's still going strong.

Nice Champion! Some people classify this type as a "Furnace Marble" and others do not. I fall into the later category. They are great marbles either way.
