  1. Here's the post of Spara with the Bulgarian marbles,
  2. In 1924 There was still advertised for German marbles. Because America itself had a flourishing marble industry at that time and cheaper by mechanization,it's obvious that America no longer need to import German marbles. Till 1930 Germany had a great toy industrie. here's an advertisment from 1924
  3. No visible seams that i can see. To me it looks just like a funky 2 colored cleary,or am i wrong..... Here are some pic- with different exposure, than the first pictures.
  4. Those are just air bubbles, because the base glass has 2 colors, red and green, there appear red and green colored bubbles.
  5. Didn't know they exist with 2 colors,or is it very common?Maybe an error..... I've never looked into this kind of marble. Anyway i will not throw them away anymore.
  6. Looking good for a display! Will you take a picture when the marbles are in it?
  7. Found this one here in Holland, always thought it was foreign,South America?? It resembles your marble, top right. Anyway nice marbles.
  8. BuckEye said: How does John make his shamrock marbles? Must be a similar process in at least a few aspects. Poke I was wondering the same thing.

  11. Wish you all a merry christmas. My husband has made this card with my marble photo's,isn't it sweet, especially since he doesn't care much about them. winnie.
  12. Here's a close up of the UE swirl, you can see the white debris,it looks like it's crystallized,it sparkles. Also add a wirepull with the same stuff, the pic- with black.light failed. Thanks,Edna.
  13. First pic- are Euro swirls (possible made in Amsterdam),if you look close you can see some sort of white debris in the red. Second pic-,using bl.light, same marbles. Thats some strange stuff in the red,the pic- is not what i hoped for,it's actually much nicer. Some of the red wirepulls have the same clow in the red.
  14. German 7/8 Seeing all those beautiful contemporarys from Edna,i hardly dare to post this one. winnie
  15. This is me with a freind a few months ago. I like almost all old machien mades, foreign and American made. winnie
  16. This one i have for a long time, can't remember how long. I still have some marbles from my childhood, believe this is one of them. This transitional i like aswell
  17. This type of transparant swirl,i can only find here in Holland,i've never seen them anywhere else. Here's a group of transparants. This pic- shows 3 opaque Euro swirls on top,the rest are the transp- swirls. I see some similarity between the opaques and the transp- swirls, maybe a cheaper version by the same manufactory. What are your thoughts?? winnie
  18. I like em,hope someday to find the German version,if they exist, you never know.
  19. Thank folks,I think they're all sort of accidentally made except for the middle one top row,i find them in groups at different places.
  20. Was in a hurry yesterday so a bit short. Looking at the cover of the book,it's not hopeful that something important will be read. Besides that, they don't know anything of the machine-mades,possibly made in Germany IMO. Yes Steph it's most about playing marbles.
