  1. Sheesh, that is a nice-looking marble, Melissa. There is a lot of striping glass in that one, and the matte finish looks really nice on it.
  2. None that I would know. But if it's a Vacor, there's a good chance its called something. lol
  3. Spoken like a true OG (old guy) - any marble with only white in a transparent clear or colored base, right Art?
  4. Those could easily be Alleys - they were sold in the UK.
  5. I have to agree with Art.
  6. That's a dandy little Japanese creased "pontil" transitional!
  7. How big is this one?
  8. And Peltier oxblood can differ a bit from Akro's. Like Chad said, I've seen it mostly on MCSs but I have seen it on a few others too. It's a nice Rainbo though, no two ways about that.
  9. The only Akro "Opal" I can think of is a Fire Opal and this isn't one of them. Akro Corkscrews on an off white UV reactive base are not too uncommon. And I think what you have there would be called "lazy corkscrews" as opposed to patches. But more views might alter my thinking on that.

    5/8 Toss Up

    I'm leaning Vitro over Akro.

    3/4 WVS

    I'm thinking Alley.
  12. I agree that it's some type of a German handmade. It just looks like the pontils have been obliterated.
  13. Cairo is my first thought - I think they did make a few big ones.
  14. Not a Pistachio, but I think it's probably still an Alley, just a little unusual.
  15. It does look foreign. Vacor seems like a good possibility to me.
  16. Here is the October 2008 Tric Trac article about the Billes & Traditions Company translated from the link I posted earlier . . .
  17. Looks like a Rainbo to me.
  18. Fun bunch of marbles, but there's an Akro contaminating your swirls!
  19. That is pretty weird.
  20. The marbles shown in the article remind me a little of the Svenska Stenkulors but they appear have a final glaze or treatment of some sort. Yours don't look quite as glossy.
