  1. Female busts like this are rare but I think there are two different versions of Jenny Lind. I'm not sure if there even are any other female subjects.
  2. Jenny Lind, perhaps.
  3. Good thought, Joe, Cairo was next on my list . . .
  4. My guess is foreign, mainly because I don't think I've seen an American marble like it.

    5/8 MK

This one's giving me a Vitro vibe.

    7/8 Vacor ?

Pretty sure Mega marketed it as a Superhero, like Dave said, where exactly it was made in Mexico, I don't know.
  7. It's giving me a foreign vibe - Vacor, maybe?

    7/8 Vacor ?

    Cool looking marble.

    5/8 Swirl

I'm leaning toward Ravenswood over Alley.
  10. You're not going to like it but I think it's a JABO from the same run that produced some killer peewee flames.
  11. Looks like it'll glow UV and a Jackson to me.
  12. I think Akro too, and helmets have a transparent face, AFAIK.

    7/8 Akro

    More like a Liberty Patch.

    Master?

Not sure I have ever seen a Wales or Pincer at 1" - I think a slightly odd Master.
  15. Alley from St. Mary's, I think - too big for CAC.
  16. Peltier Acme Realer I think.
  17. @akroorka Nice bunch of marbles and a great set of pics, Art!
  18. Definitely something different that I've not seen before. It's hard to tell how big it might have been originally. My best guess would be it's some sort of a warmer - hang it near the fire to warm it up and use it like a heating pad, or put it at the foot of your bed on a cold night maybe . . .

    4 swirls

They're all giving me a Ravenswood vibe.
  20. I don't think a bit of additional color is too unusual, even if it shows up only on one vane - looks cool though.
  21. It looks like Vacor to me.
  22. 1) I think the term "pontil" has simply come to describe a hand-made cut-off mark, regardless of whether the marble is cut off a punty or a cane, or if the cut-off is finished in a particular way. 2) May be a single-gather German slag. 3) I think they were hand-formed but Brian @akronmarbles might know for sure.
  23. @akroorka I think they're probably just dug. The shapes are not uncommon for dug misshaped marbles. I've got lots of Alley examples just like them. @Fire1981 Kisses are common but I don't think I've seen a four-sided one before - more like a pyramid, pretty cool.
