Greeneyes, Jabo started making this style of marbles in the 1990's. It's a common thing for even an older collection to get newer marbles mixed in. Someone finds a stray marble and remembers where the old marble jar is, and that seems a logical place to put the marble.

If you have any chipped ones, keep them with the collection. Call them the injured reserve list.

Akros were machine-made marbles. This marble is also machine-made and I can't swear that it isn't Akro, but I don't really have a guess for it.

Transparent swirls are hard to pin down by maker. So many different West Virginia swirl companies to consider, plus Alox in Missouri.

6 o'clock -- "rainbo", no other name that I know of 12 o'clock ... multicolor rainbo ... nlr era ... maybe called clear Christmas tree. 3 o'clock -- pelt rainbo I think Alley in the middle. don't know at 9 o'clock

WV swirl on the left. But on the right? I don't recognize it. Vitro? Peltier? Akro? Marble King? Jabo?

Looks like a Vitro to me. Maybe 1930's or 1950's.

The backgammon one never occurred to me, but it really is a versatile idea with those extra sections. And not too hard to come by at thrift stores. -
A helmet is a Vitro where the white can be thought to look like a football helmet with ear protection on both sides, and it has a stripe for the team color. Boris' picture here shows that pattern nicely: I think Master or possibly Akro on yours, but purple isn't ringing an Akro bell for me.

Happy Halloween! I'm not aware of having much that's orange and black ... but when I take a picture at this time of night, things mostly look orange. Does that count? Oh wait I have something! No ... I tried to get a picture of the orange and black flamingos in the yard ... and it was really scary, I tell ya.

Could be Alley at 9 o'clock ... WV swirl anyway. At 3 o'clock could be a Jabo.

I figure probably not a tightline Akro cork. The ribbons look a little pelty, but still rather close together for that many ribbons in a single slender shot. Hmmm ... Viotro cat's eye?
