    Swirls

#3 might be a patch. Maybe a Marble King. I _think_ I'm seeing long seams on it. The others would be swirls. I think Alley on #2. On #1, I once again have my usual thought when I see a purple and red swirls ... that I really should remember it from the last time I saw it but for some reason the maker doesn't stick.
  2. Hi Matt. I thought about waving ... but I didn't have an answer for you so I kept my peace.

    ID Help

I think Vacor on the left. On the right, not sure. How big of "shooter size"? I'm sort of leaning Jabo, but I'm not ruling out an older swirl.
  4. Yes, looks like a St. Marys cat's eye. The ideal for a blue and yellow would be to have two blue vanes across from each other and two yellow vanes across from each other, with a clean separation. But there was a wide range of variation.

    sparkler

    That's a Master. Not a sparkler.
  6. The top one in that last photo looks like it might have three vane colors - white, light blue, darker blue.

    Corkscrew?

I think Alley swirl on the left. Akro corkscrew on the right.
  8. Yes, Vitro. Conquerors.

    Vacor?

I think two West Virginia swirls and then possibly a Pelt.
  10. The top one in the bottom photo might be an Asian cat's eye. The rest would go with my Pelt bananas. (I'm not totally sure about aqua being a Pelt color -- so I would wonder if it might be Master), but I would have it with the Pelt bananas while I thought about it some more.
  11. I think @spara50 may have had one of the groups I am thinking of.
  12. A loose lot? No bags? I see Alleys!
  13. This is the only one I know about .... Click "The Game" on this page: http://www.lifeismarbleous.com/#
  14. I remember some unusual Vacor patches having been posted some ten years ago ... and I vaguely remember them as possibly having been encountered at Moon Marbles. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Anyone save the picture? .... or have the marbles?
  15. I guess. I don't know if they have a better name.

    Vitro or MK

Simply put, the colored glass is in a layer on top of the base glass. There's probably technically more than that since there were marbles from the 40's which had colored glass on the surface of the marble (Vitro Conquerors) but they weren't considered to be veneered. This picture is of Marble Kings rather than Vitros, but the broken cubscout shows the layer of color veneered onto the white Marble King base.
  17. I agree with Vacor. Not one I see often though.
  18. I had not heard that Jelle was doing such a thing. Neat idea. I will look into it.
  19. Peltier on top. Christensen Agate or European on the bottom.
  20. On the top I'm leaning Vitro. Peltier on the bottom. In the middle? Can you isolate two seams?
  21. Vitro would be right. Not parrots.
