Exceptional specimen.

Nice match on the colors. The other marble is a probably a Vitro All Red. If that's orange enough and not red, it could turn into a Tiger Eye. The three-way cross-through is a special one. It's one of the collectible cat's eyes. (Most Asian cat's eyes have three pairs of colors adjacent to each other. When one of the pairs crosses through that's good. When all three cross through that's even better.)

Is that blue tracer a different shade from the "usual"? Or rather ... how many shades of blue might we find in tracers. That's more pale and aqua than I have come to expect.

Interesting color striping in that first view. I remember also thinking it was an Akro when I first saw it. These present views might not have made me think Akro. Not seeing either cork or patch structure at the moment. Wonder if it is a "messed up cork"?

I like paisley. For some reason when I saw "paisley" I was expecting purple. Well, there's some purple in the sunspot on the side. This might be a handgathered slag. I think you might have a nine-and-tail right there .... if you turn it up the other way. And on the opposite side, you might see a cutline. Not totally sure on it being a handgathered nine. But I think so maybe.

New to me ....

Okay .... in this thread is a marble I decided was a dug Akro ... coz of something someone else posted which they said was dug. But I probably won't be able to find the original source which made me think dug. The red looks bright in the picture and I don't have it in hand now, but it was bricky enough for me to originally wonder if it was oxblood. And this one has as schmear of white in like I think I see in Jerry's.

The colors in that are so nice. Skoro, I think copper. But recently, I decided I wasn't sure. I need a lutz refresher course.

I like. The backlit blue is a little eery but cool. Sorta space-y, or like an aquarium in a dark restaurant.

Some people collect big and little versions of marbles. In pairs, ike 1" and 5/8" versions to keep together. You could get or make "coffin boxes" to store mini-collections with all the different sizes. BRB ... off to see if I can find a picture of a "coffin box". I'm wobbling again. Between Akro and Pelt. Ric, Caroline does have a lot of Pelts. Can't remember how many Akros. At least some. But I forget how many we've seen.
