Thanks for the pix!
George Sourlis sent me the copy of the balance sheet. I'll have to ask him about the backstory.
Yes, my opalescent yellow is hand-gathered and highly fluorescent.
I want to go make another bid on the sparkler auction but my husband just told me he wants us to move in October.
So gotta save for the down payment.
I'm mostly happy about this. But a little scared. And sparkler-deprived. (Not completely deprived -- I do have one very nice little sparkler.)
Consider something reversible.
Mike talks about a water-soluble polymer coating here:

Supposedly Gino Biffany had some marbles labeled Canaries ... not necessarily in a company box ... maybe just in a compartment.
Anyone know what those looked like?
Check out the buy-sell-trade forum. Greenvwbug's sales are underway.
These lots end Friday:

My first make-out session was under a meteor shower.
We lived just past the far edge of a suburb, so it was good viewing. Didn't know the meteor shower was going to happen. Nice surprise.
Now I live next to an overcast lake. Would have to drive a ways to find a cow pasture to trespass on.
While waiting for Canaries ....
Opal Agates box -- are they Opal Agates inside?
(I think I may have a better, non-Ebay photo of this box, so I might replace these pix when I find it.)
Which marbles were the Canaries?
Examples of Canaries or any of the other marbles on the list would be nice. Seen many of them separately in many threads. Could be fun to bring them all together.
I learned the correct pronunciation when I called JABO -- called 'em just to hear how they pronounced their name.
"Hello, this is JABO Vitro."
Ohhhh ... I've been mispronouncing _both_ names, huh? Ooooops.
Is the brown and white one which you are questioning? I'm pretty sure Alley on that one.
That shade of green in the cat's eye makes me think Asian. But what I see of the core shape makes me uncertain.
Sure there is ... at least I'd assume so. I hope someone else with money comes in and confirms ... I would say I want some but I already have some and am saving up to get a couple of your cat's eyes.
But surely there are a lot of people who think their collection wouldn't be complete without examples of Mid Atlantics.
No?
All these years and I STILL say Vee-trow.
Whenever I say it aloud I correct myself, but why do I keep saying Vee-trow instead of Vitt-row to begin with?
