How new of newer? I think of the Blue Boy as an older marble. Jill Spencer's site is gone now but I found an archived version at the Wayback Machine. Recall that she owned a site which had been used for dumping Marble Kings in the 1960's. Marblequeen.com Home of great vintage marbles, Antiques and Glassware (archive.org) Here's what she had to say on a Blue Boy listing: "This is a great 5/8ths inch Marble King blue boy. This is an experimental made between 1959 and 1964 but never marketed." The Blue Boy pictured in her listing does have a little more solid-looking ribbons. Here it is.
  2. Youch! I hadn't seen that the marble came from Mig! I need to read better instead of just looking at the pretty pictures! If I had seen that, I wouldn't have gone to Bogard. Cool mib!
  3. Then based on the size and the softness of the swirl, and the lack of glow, I will say Jabo.
  4. What size is it? I do think American. And Jabo seems a possibility. However, I'm also considering the possibility that it might be Alley.
  5. My thoughts: Jabo if modern even if it doesn't light up under blacklight, but I hope it does. Akro if vintage and if it lights up under blacklight.
  6. Consider Bogard Cat's Eyes.
  7. On my monitor some of the ribbons are showing up as white and some as lavender. Does this match what you're seeing in hand? Also, the bottom left has something brownish going on?
  8. My two thoughts are Alley and Christensen, but this is NOT my specialty. I am just bumping the thread for you.
  9. Could be tricks of the light, but the surface gloss and the texture of the white are making me think of Vacor. DETAILED INFORMATION (billes-en-tete.com) I'm far from sure about that though. If vintage, then possibly an Akro slag.
  10. I also think Master on the last one. The first one appears to have long seams. My first thought on the seams was Akro. The colors don't scream Akro to me, so maybe it's something else, such as Vitro. Jabo wouldn't be in my top 3 guesses though.
  11. LOL ... never was gonna get that. But had fun just now googling it.
  12. If vintage, then maybe consider Cairo Novelty or Heaton.
  13. Company name: Akro Tri-Color Agate
  14. Hmmm. I'm not 100%, but I'm leaning Jabo.
  15. Thanks for checking in! We miss you. Take very good care of you.
  16. I noticed the missing photos. But I don't know the answer. If you keep being unable to post pix, we will call Jason in. @bumblebee
  17. I am not seeing photos.
  18. The marbles that are being shot at were sometimes called ducks.
  19. Akro was out of production before Cat's Eyes were a known thing in America.
  20. Can we get a corkscrew out of it?
  21. The name sounds very familiar though I don't remember crossing paths. Much too young.
  22. I do think the white one is a Pelt. And the second one looks like a Pelt Root Beer Float. Which would not be Pre-1970, but still. Not familiar with the seller. Withholding verdict until I learn more.
