That is a really nice one! I would say it's a keeper, especially looking at it from the angle of that first pic!
  2. The one on the left looks like a Vitro to me, but I'm forever a beginner and won't put my money where my mouth is yet.
  3. I don't have anything with this color. The green has a very tiny hint of blue in it. The white has a bit of blue also. I think there might be a thin line of brown as well. It looks totally opaque. The size is .99". Thanks for your help!
  4. Looks like it was an awesome day! Just curious--what are the three marbles in the top row?
  5. Yes, Alan. You are entirely correct! Thanks for the perspective! I actually like the crackle look on the orange ones. I think there is a technique that glassmakers use to do this on purpose when making vases and stuff. Much appreciated!
  6. Thank you Alan and WVRons! Too bad on the first one. That would look like a cool marble if it were done right.
  7. Happy Peltier Tuesday Everyone. So I was looking through some Peltiers that I just got from a jar and figured it might be a good time to ask. Pic 1 and 2. Seems that this rainbo with the yellow ribbons on the bubbly semi-opaque gray base always look like dirt specks, but under magnification it is actually a reflection thing going on or some silvery color or stuff that is trapped in some of the bubbles. Is this one of those dug experimental things? Pic 3. I have a few of these transparent orange ribbons on opaque white that all have this crackly crazing thing going on (only on the orange ribbon). Is it because of the glass combo in the heat or just a weak spot of the orange glass making it crack when being played with? Pic 3 and 4. This is where all of a sudden I'm questioning what I thought I knew. Are these multi-colored swirls or rainbos with two colors? Thank you!!!!!!!
  8. I would just have a heart attack and die if I saw that orange and black one in a Jar or shop somewhere! Nice marbles and pics!
  9. Cool! I didn't know there was such a thing as chickpeas. I'll have to go into my vitros and see if I'm fortunate enough to have one. I don't remember seeing these though. So many varieties out there. Collecting marbles is endless! Thanks Marboman!
  10. New York is definitely out of the picture for a marble museum. Taxes are too high. Darn. How's a neighboring state? Maybe Pennsylvania near the Zippo lighter museum. Then people can make two stops. 😉 (And it's close to NY.--self-interest is showing.😝)
  11. Wow! That person had an eye for marbles! Nice score! Your collection is not complete!😝
  12. Oops! I meant to say "Thanks Bruce"!
  13. Thanks Berryb. Sounds good to me. The only reason that I didn't add foreign (Asian) to the guess list is that I always thought those have seams that come to a point. Learned something new. But, the color is a bit unusual. Thanks again!
  14. Thanks for the photos Chad! My Vitro looks NOTHING like those. I think mine is a Vitro rotten pea. LOL. Yours are definitely the fresh variety! Well, here is my rotten pea that I think Akroorka wanted to see if it were a real sweet pea. (Just for laughs.)
  15. I'm pretty sure this is not one, but it just made me thing of a pea when I looked at it because of the color. But, it rang a bell. Here is my

    Pelts?

All those bubbles look like Pelt bubbles. But, I never get these things right. LOL. I go by "feelings" way too many times.
  17. I came across one of my marbles and thought to myself that it looked like a pea. Then I vaguely remember seeing something called a "sweet pea vitro" somewhere before. Just wondering if there is such a thing and if so, I would appreciate if someone could post a photo of it. Thanks!
  18. While trying to sort through my marbles, I came across this one. A strange mustard yellow base that is uv reactive (glows orange) with an orange patch that looks a little brushed on because of the streaks. What looks like brown lines are actually what seems like shadows cast on some clear glass. When I shine a light on the marble it comes through these openings. The size is .62". Thanks for any help.
