Blue and green faceted German agates
Chad G. replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Yes, yours are all natural Roby, nice aggies, although more than likely machine ground and polished judging from the smooth reflection on the mibs, no visible rippling on the surface from hand faceting "thank you for the pictures". -
Yes, please do !!!

Just talking about submarines on the other marble forum earlier. This is a picture of a CAC striped transparent submarine. The marble was a friend of mine's. Another CAC transparent submarine !!!! both marbles have several windows to see inside the mib. again used to be a friend of mines, way out of my price range on this one, rare marble in this color combination and condition.

Blue and green faceted German agates
Chad G. replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Yes !!!! those are dyed agates !!!!! And some very nice ones @ that. I have only one green and the rest carnelian. I have some more carnelian but they're really beat. These would have been great dyed. I love the blue ones you have. I had an opportunity to get about 20 to 25 blue, some around an inch, pretty beat up but still beautiful. They changed their mind's at the last second and just wouldn't cut loose of them. I was a little disappointed but took it in stride and still continue looking !! -

A very nice mib, it certainly looks to qualify, maybe another opinion on this one Roby !! people are rather opinionated on the subject of submarines.

On Alans old reconstructed site, the one I gave the link for, he has almost every color in the rainbow displayed for this type of marble, A great amount of knowledge Alan left the marble community to share, I was waiting on his new website when he got sick, he is most definitely greatly missed by us all. Yes definitely some real beauties there !!!

Yes !!!! if I leave the dirt on them they're all ( killers) Thanks for the compliment Chuck !!! Peltier red national onyx ( feather slag ) also in green, uv. yellow, purple, white= rare, blue, etc.... some of Peltiers early slags, but not earliest ( national onyx ) w/ the unmistakable feather pattern. The most desirable are the so called rooster tail's. A pic of an old green one of mine below. Where they got their name is self explanatory.
