The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
William replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
My $14 score from a random container I found last weekend. Nothing to really holler about but still liked what I got for the most part ð Also just wanted to chip in on the score thread ð -
Back when I had a desktop I used to get my spyware/malware antivirus tools from Kim Komondo's (think I spelled her name right) website or off of CNET. It was all free downloads. I've used Avast and a few others and they worked very well. Of course, I think you could pay too upgrade them. The free basic versions, never had a problem. Haven't looked for a long time, not sure what is free or not anymore. Just go with my phone now and do my best to keep it clean ð

Odd Pelt? Or just odd? The #5 is just wild too see on a marble. Took a pic with a few of his friends too ð

I did inquire about it's history; when it was made, who made it, what it represented, etc.; all she could say was that it was her mother in laws. It's definitely got some age.

My gals cabinet is getting new additions lately also. She added more shoes and animals, and vintage rings in recent weeks.

Progress on the cabinet ð kinda getting things in place...top shelf decided to do a little of everything of the ones I liked. 2nd shelf keeping it in the glassware/agate/fossil category. Such fun, and as expected eyeing another corner display case ð

Thanks Ric. I should have guessed Alley based on others I have with similar patterns, but the color had me thinking about rocks ðĪŠ

Good to meet you, Rick. William (Bill) here...joined in late March myself. Lifelong collector in various fields from football cards, antiques this and that. Began rockhounding for agates not too many years ago and transitioned too marbles late last year. Quite the challenging hobby but loving it. Once again, great to have your acquaintance and a big "welcome back home " ð

Actually wondering now if I have any MK in this wide variety I have...
-
Older gentleman asking only $14, so I said sure!
-
Not much of a size difference, all 3 are so similar.

In total, was probably around 250 marbles in a container, mostly rainbos; along with different varieties of corks and swirls. There's more I'm not too sure on I'll probably post sometime. Got the clearies and cats separated and have this yet too sort...

Looked into it and both of these pieces are Imperial 1951. Remembered Chad's pitcher and went back to page 1 of this thread and identified them with the logos posted ð Not Akro but still nice additions I think.

Funday Friday rolled right over into Super Saturday with these finds I made just an hour ago...hopefully considered good scores ð

Yeah, it's pretty weird looking, like a hunk of the vein has been moved when it took place. Just had to have it as an oddity ðĪŠ

A friend of mine in Jacksonville, Florida owned a 69' Roadrunner back in the 80's. Beautiful car, wish I had pics. It was 2 tone brown on orange. This car was totally original and practically mint! Rode in it many times! Every time I was alongside the car I would always catch myself looking down at the Roadrunner gritting it's teeth ð
