  3. Very ghostly, I saw a similar image in one of my marbles last week. I think that this one is a WVS gone wild—call the Ghostbusters!🥶 Marble—On!!
  4. I think that you have a Vacor there my friend. Some form of a "Black Panther" They came in different color combos. Marble--On!!
  5. Thats a nice little marble. Akro--on!!
  6. Yes, the black and dark blue one. I would love to see more of that one(top image). The first one in the second row is very nice. They are all great to see. Marble--On!!
  7. Thanks Ron, This may just be my spirit marble. We all take a lot of hits in life. I am still rolling on though. Retirement On!!
  8. I truly believe that Gino Biffany was the very first Pelthead. RIP our old friend!! Marble on in his memory, that is the way that he would have liked it for sure!! What a great fellow he was. Keep on keepin on!!
  9. Thanks folks, I did have a response ready but you all did it for me. Great marbles Jeremysvt---enough said. (really great post) Marble--On!!
  10. Hmmm, I feel a challenge here. I am up for it though. I am not married to any marble. They are after all, just a round piece of glass. PM me and it is yours--i only have one. Marble--On!!
  11. Great job Chuck G. I applaud your efforts. If you are like me----it is on to the next--mission accomplished. Revel in the finality and it will soon loose its luster. I have a one track mind when collecting and when it is completed—I start a new one. There is always a new one, always, never ending. Congratulations, I know what it feels like. I dream about it when it is getting closer to completion. Marble On and collect on as well. I love this stuff, Thanks for sharing!! We are not alone in our thinking!!
  12. If you have never tried this I urge you to do so. Backlight an Agate in a dark room and be rewarded, any agate regardless of the hit-marks. This one is a Bruiser no doubt. Let’s call it 13/16”. It is loaded with Provenance. There are two original cut marks left intact after the original hand faceting, very, very cool imho. I cannot count the hit marks and there is no missing stone from the hits. How many glass marbles did this one destroy and how many “steelies” did it fend with? I love this stuff Marble—On and explore on as well!!
  13. This is my Sundays best. I collect pouches and this is a very difficult find. Well-------search and be rewarded, a collectors motto for sure. This is a Morse code “Victory” Akro Agate pouch from the 40’s. It will be well preserved—trust me on that. Over twenty five years of searching—it is very close to my best pouch ever—what a rush finding it and bringing it home. Dot-dot-dot-dash, Morse code for V. Please take your hats off to all of our Veterans of all of the conflicts’ that we have endured. I salute you all and appreciate your resolve. God Bless you all. I love this stuff!! Marble—On!!
  14. Killer Brick my friend. I just love em with a bit o white. Marble--On!!
  15. Nice one Ric, If it is not a Ravenswood, I will give up for awhile on the Ravens ID work. I do study😁. Marble--On!!
  16. Great finds Jeremysvt—all of them. Great eye as well. I can see that you have been doing your research. 3 color corkscrews are always a great find. (I do count white as a color) This is a harder to find Popeye imho, the one with the glow to it. These are no doubt Popeye colors. We all could argue this for days on end—but I have one with some clear glass added to it. Here it is, showing a bit of transparent—clear transparent along with the UV yellow transparent. I did my best and it may not be clear to you all but there is actually transparent –non yellow transparent glass involved in this one. They may have been crossovers between runs. They only show up in this color combo in my experience. There are plenty of questionable Popeye’s out there but this one will always stay with my Popeye’s. I could never think of a better place for it. It is just a great find! Marble—On!!
  17. Those modern day nuts are not so lucky for you. Break out the square ones and try again🍀. Marble--On!!
  18. To be a corkscrew your fourth image would have a similar ending of the green on the other side of the marble. The image does look like a corkscrew would. These are classic Vitro colors and they usually display as a patch with the green covering just less than ½ of the marble, some have more whispy white than others. The base glass would be quite clear on this type of Vitro. This one just did the twist as it dropped onto the rollers. Akro Corkscrews come in a never ending combination of colors and I would not be surprised to find one that looks like yours. Close but no cigar—good eye though! Marble—On!!
  19. Not a Vacor Rooster imho too much going on inside and they display orange under UV, at least the ones that I have do. If those little white marks are hits and not reflections I will jump on the Jabo train as well, a Jabo trait for sure. Jabo made some very nice deep red colors as does Vacor, among others (could it be a Champion?😁). The finish on this one does not look Jaboesque to me. It may be something else entirely. Cool marble, I love the deep reds. Marble—On!!
  20. I agree Steph, This one looks like it may have some UV reaction to it---if it does Gladys, that moves it up a few notches to very rare. Marble--On!!
  21. At 9/16" I would rather encase it in lucite rather that have it polished. It is not lacking in "out of roundness" and would end up as a small peewee with any polishing that I know of. Thanks, and Marble--On!!
  22. akroorka

    I.d help

Yes, a brown "flintie". Nice find. Marble--On!!
  23. OK Fire, you asked for it. Marble--On!!
  24. Wet , Imho has no as mades, sparkles, hits or "pocket wear" or blowouts. The entire surface has to be clear of any defects as well as the interior. The entire surface of the marble has to look wet/clear and be very reflective. “Wet “is a hard thing to find and it should be respected as such. This is of course all imho, Marble—On!!
