Here is an Akro Agate that wanted to be a part of this post. It takes after me, always misbehaving. It cried out to me and I had to post it, I hope that it will quit crying now. Yes, Corkscrews are swirls but this one really wanted to be a swirl on its own—not a corkscrew. (Kids!) What a nice one! I still love her, very much, corkscrew or not! Marble—On!!!

I am not that good on West Virginia Swirls. This type I have researched enough to call it a Cairo Novelty Company Swirl. I love this marble! Marble--On!!

That looks like a nice couple of lots/images. Do not be afraid to post a few for ID, just keep it down to four or five at a time. I love to ID marbles--I am good at some and far worse at others but there are plenty that post here to fill in the gaps. Thanks for sharing and continue to do so. Marble--On!!

This one came in a group of MK's---I thought--wait a minute here--surprise, surprise! I had it verified and it was drooled on. What a pretty little thing at 9/16" Marble--on!!

Ric has said exactly what I tought on the first one Mojo. Great job, it cannot be easy. I hope that you had the kids involved---they always do better with this stuff for some reason. (I have sausage fingers) Marble--on!!!

These are nice, nice images and nice marbles as well. The blue transparent and white corkscrew is a beauty. The one to the right of it may be a CAC swirl—nice.(top image) Anytime that you find a yellow/white swirl/slag it is a keeper. Thanks for sharing these! Marble—On!!

I am with Steph on the corkscrew, there are even some cool eyelashes. I think that the second one is a CAC, peach/amber slag. Hard to get an image of peach in my world. Marble--On!!

I have alway pondered on the patches on the bottom row as being very late Akros. They are quite common. The big ones either late Akro or Master Glass after the buyout. Just a thought--no proof. Marble--On!!!

Yes Ric, I get it, Carnelian-- left---Cornelian---right, imho--Great marbles. This is what most Cornelians look like, hardly any white. Marble--On!!

Down-sizing or sharing is the real question. The marbles that I have are worth little to me once I collect them, the prize to me is in the search and find. If I have had one, I am satisfied with that and I will always look back at it. I collect them because I like them, not because of what they may be worth but because of the research that it took to find one. I really enjoy seeing new collectors getting what they may think are/is not a reality to collect in this world, price wise. I have plenty and I will continue to share what I have to keep this love of marbles going. You really have to let some go to realize what I mean. Let some go and please those that get them as much as you did when you found them. Just don’t make it easy. Marble-On and share them as well!!!

Sorry folks, I do not see Akro in this one. 9/16" points me toward a WVS. I just call them like I see them. All Crows were dug and most are 3/4" or a tad larger. Marble--On!!

Killer double ingot. It looks like an Akro to me. Do you think that it is polished? Great marble non-the-less. Marble--On!!

Here is a nice ¾” Akro Agate “Cornelian”, a company name (not Carnelian). The first set of images shows a backlit image on the left, both images are under a fill flash. They cannot all be backlit with this effect. This one sure looks like a backlit slag. In hand, under normal light, Cornelian’s appear to be opaque. As you can see this one has a nice “tail”. I still believe that is a “machine made” and not a transitional. Slag’s that are machine made will show the same “tails” sometimes. These marbles show up in a darker red/maroon color but I believe that they were all dug or “experimental”. In the early days of collecting machine-mades folks called the darker ones “bricks”. No Oxblood is involved. There is a collectors name for this darker color but it escapes me--- (help me out here mulberry?). I would not consider Cornelians to be common. The white on these is not usually as robust as the one I show. When I backlight this one with torchlight it has an out of focus “fisheye” effect just like a “Flintie”---hmmm I wonder---was the same glass recipe used?? Just another great reason to back-lite your marbles—you just never know. Marble—On!!!

I looked at these all pretty hard. I posted some images below of the ones that interest me. More opinions are welcomed and needed. Image one is probably A Master Made “cloudy” Image two looks like a Vacor marble Image three is very nice, I have seen them ID’d as Master Made, I am not so sure. May be an Imperial—a nice one. Image four looks like it may have some aventurine in it, jury is out on this one. Image five, is this image under black light? Jury is out. Image six, I circled an area that I would like to see another image of. A melt spot perhaps? It also looks like it has a metallic streak at the top of the window. The ones that I do not mention here are all Imperial imho. Thanks, this was fun. Back to the couch for me(sick like a dog—no covid) Marble—On!!

This one is an Imperial.

These type are the first that I ever purchase as a “marble collector”, thought that they might be “guineas’” lol. They set me on a road of research that has not ended. In my own defense, they were covered in detritus in an old chicken coop at an untagged estate sale. Lesson learned. Marble—On!!

I agree with Al, most are "Imperials". Often mis-Identified as "Master Marbles" I circled a few from the last image that deserve another look. Give us a shot with both sides including the cut-off marks Marble--On!!
