  1. Yup, cool ones! I remember when Guy posted some pics of his bifurcated ones many years back - neat ones to look for.
  2. Here's some pics that I have (not my boxes).
  3. That is a neat one. Patry had a couple that were similar but I haven't seen very many.
  4. I don't think there is any problem posting a link. I think they might prefer it in the buy/sell forum but since this thread was originally about hte marble before you decided to sell it, this is the best palce for the link. The mnore PR, hopefully the higher the price for you.
  5. And, as most "crooked" eBay'ers do it - "salt" each one with a beat up Peltier NLR or CAC.... Otherwise, I think Catfish has the right idea.
  6. Also, the person with the high bid may have bid $15,000 but since no one exceeded $9,900 besides them, that is the highest bid that registers. Although one thing I have not checked on for a while is eBay's procedure when there is a reserve. Maybe if the person had bid above the reserve, it would reflect the next increment above the reserve as their bid...?
  7. There are shows - was just one in Decatur, IL. There is a forum on marble shows on the home page in this site. Doesn't go too far ahead.
  8. Thanks for following up on that, Jill, and letting us know the results.
  9. Neat marble. Not sure of value but with no white showing, I would think it would be of interest and might bring good money if auctioned. In the left picture, I see some oxblood striping on the right side.
  10. I had heard about them a few months back and emailed someone but the info was different than what is on this site. I think there was not a choice of marbles to be placed in bag and they might end up with many of the same ones - can't remmeber for sure but I did not pursue it then. Now there is this link which shows 2 bags at $25 or $50 each and shipping is $10+ range so ....? haven't made up my mind yet.
  11. Listings look good - condition will be paramount on bids...
  12. Naw, instead of coreless swirls they are glassless core swirls
  13. I'm not sure. I think Don Miller had once surmised that it might have been an advertising bag used by Vitro or some other company that marketed marble bag giveaways to companies.
  14. Neat items. I see the "Free Marbles" bag from time to time and I have only seen those types of marbles in them. I have a couple of the "paper" bags and I've assumed they are from bread or cereal giveaways but no proof. Here's a pic of mine. I opened one to see the type of marbles.
  15. I haven't seen a package with those types of marbles - anyone have pics? Scott?
  16. If it is a cold roll mark (smooth not sharp edges), most consider that as-made and would fall in the mint category. That being said, if it is being advertised for sale as mint, the seller should really disclose the cold roll mark as it would affect the value of the marble, whether a common Jabo or a high end CA swirl.
  17. That's a bag (with the metallic shooter) that I don't have. I've seen several bags with that style shooter, though, so I'm guessing they at least did one run of shooters with the metallic in them. Of course, it could have been accidental at the time but it affected quite a few of the similar marbles.
  18. And to prove the shooter is Vitro, here's some in the bag...
  19. I agree - Michelangelos and they don't show on Fabricas Selectas site as available.
  20. I am surprised at that. While the number of walk-in people for the actual show varies around the country, usually the "regulars" come for the in-room trading and, at least, stay for the first half of the show (they may be manning their table). I've gone to only the Texas Show and a spring WV show besides the regular west coast shows in Seattle area, Orange County (L.A.) and Las Vegas. To financially support the show, most regulars at the in-room trading also pay for a table at the show (some of them don't even man a table) but they are there. Unless it is a popular local show, the attendance fee helps just a little towards the oevrall show cost. Just my two-bits.
  21. Here was a salmon/pink color Rainbo of mine that I took a picture of a few years ago - only one view and I can't find it right away to take more.
  22. Here's a pic of one of my bags that looks to have similar translucent type base glass in some of the marbles.
  23. That's the fun of buying a large lot - sorting, finding surprises, learning, etc. I bought many that way when I first started collecting.
